Can you hear the fuel pump engage when you first turn the key forward? Do not attempt to turn on the truck but just place it in the on position you should be able to hear and feel the fuel pump for approximately 3 seconds. If not you have a fuel pump relay problem if not the pump itself.

turn the ignition key to the ON position without starting the engine up. You should hear the fuel pump run for 5 seconds. If not heard replace the oil pressure sensor which is linked to the same circuit. When oil pressure is acheived the fuel pump relay takes over to run the pump

NOT GETTING ANY FUEL

Does your in the tank fuel pump turn on when you turn the key if you get out and turn the key to the running position you should be able to hear it. If it does then I would try replacing the fuel filter.

I have a 1989 f 150 and dont have no power on the fuel pumps

check the fuel pump fuse first, the cut off switch behind the passenger kick panel second, the switch to change tanks third, the fuel pump last,
test with test light, the pump will only run for five seconds when you turn the key on.

Ford f150 fuel pumps wont work when turn on ignition but pumps are good

When you turn the key to on (not starting) is the "check engine" light on? The trucks computer controls the fuel pump. If the check engine light is not on then the computer is not turning on. I had the same problem a couple weeks ago in a car. I found a wire harness next to the battery that had pulled apart. It was the ground for the computer. You should check any ground wires around the battery and ground wires around the computer. Also listen when you turn the key on you should hear the relay near the computer "click" on.

If you know where the code reader hookup is under the hood (near the firewall either side) then you can manually turn the fuel pump on with the key on. To test the fuel pump. Just ground the fuel pump wire.
