SOURCE: I have a 1997 328

Have you tried having a helper push down on the hood over the latch to relieve the spring tension on the latch while you try to pull the hood release, this often does the trick. Also are you sure the cable is connected, do you fell tension on the hood release handle when you pull it?

1999 BMW 528i interior hood release cable missing how do I open hood

The hood catch is so well inclosed, you won't get the hood open manually. No tricks here. There has to be a release inside the car. If the handle is just missing, and you can get to the release cable, just pull it with a pair of pliers.

I have a 2001 BMW 330CI convertible. The Hood of the car can lock and unlock. I have to use a coat hanger to release it from the locking mechanism by pulling the latch toward me to actually lift the hood...

The lever in the car is connected to a pull wire, it has probably just come undone. Get to where you can see the hood lever in the car and then look for the cable, it should reattach easily, if it will not, then you may need a new handle.

93 318 bmw hood cable broke close to latch how do i get it open

you will need to get to release arm or arm on latches, some of these bmws use two latches one on each side of the hood, use a long thin screw driver and try to reach the release arm, this arm is where the cable would pull to release the hood, try going from under the front of car and also from the grill area, this is not easy but can be done.

The hood on my 1997 bmw 328i doesn't want to open. It's been sitting for about 2 years. Whats the best way to open it?

have someone "jiggle ' the hood near the release while "jiggleing " the release at the same time better worded bump on the hood rapidly , if no then check release cable for broken plastic , if so then manually pull cable with pliars of some sorts
