full heat in other modes, (yes)
front defrost is weak.
weak front only,
1: recirculate is on, turn it off. (mixes cold with hot and net is warm)
2: damper failuire. (not going to defrost postion)
3: bad controls.
3a; some toys have a heater water valve, that i only opens 1/2 way

Heat stopped working in 2000 pontiac sunfire

With blower on high and tempature to max heat check to see if you have good air flow in all mode selections (defrost, vent, floor etc.). If so and you still have no heat then check heater core hose going from engine to inside car to heater core with vehicle running and coolant tempature about half on guage. If both hoses are hot and coolant in radiator/overflow bottle is full then hot cold blend door is stuck in cold position. If coolant level is low you will get no heat, check coolant level first.

Heater

Possibly a bad heater blend door actuator. You get to it by removing the radio. Part is about $35 from auto parts store. Another issue due to plastic gears....... Warning -- don't drop anything back there -- use a cheap flashlight - you may never see it again.

Heat & A/C only comes out front vents on all setting even on defrost . I have checked the doors inside the unit and the vacuum motors that run the doors.

Look also for a vacuum restriction TO those doors or a leak before it gets there. It might work fine at idle(strong vacuum),and act up on weaker vacuum at road speed. don-ohio

If I am reading correctly you are hearing the vent doors moving to redirect the airflow to the vents you choose. This is normal and can be more noticeable if the blower fan is on, putting air pressure against the doors.

I have a 1993 buick lesabre and i was wanting to know if the fact that it has dirty antifreeze is that why my defroster doesnt work very well?

defrost and heat come from same place .if your heat is good but defrost is not then i think you might have defrost vent doors half stuck check them for good flow should be the same flow as to floor vents.

2007 Suburban LT .....I turn air/heat on all options but air will not come out front vents. It only comes out foot vents and/or defrost vents for driver./passenger front windows.

Need to look under hood for a vacume line going to your fire wall. your vents are vacuum assisted and i have had this hose dry rot from the engine heat causing my vents not to work correctly. the hose is normaly about a half inch in diameter and is towards the middle of the enigine compartment.

97 Sierra no heat on passanger defrost or floor

I assume you have the dual climate control feature on your truck. it sounds like you have door problems. The heating system has several doors inside the box and duct work that divert the air from defrost to face and feet...i'm not 100% sure if the ones in your truck are electronic or vaccum, but i think they are electronic. From time to time the actuators that control the door go out, as every electric motor does. You need to find the ones that have quit and replace them. It is possible that the arm(s) on the actuator(s) have broken loose from the doors and are working but not pushing or pulling the doors properly...if might help to remove the front seats...just to help save your back....working under the dash is hard on your body....and it take a good half day to remove the dash, so working under it is actually less work.
