Question about 2006 Cadillac SRX

Open Question

The ac drain hose is disconnected from the floor drain on my 2010 cadillac srx. I don't see a hose clamp of any kind that would hold it in place. Shouldn't there be one to hold it?

My AC drain line was disconnected inside my car and was leaking water all over the carpet whenever the AC was running. The drain itself is under the car, located in the center, about where the center console is. Inside, that is where the drain line is as well. To get access to the drain line inside the car, you can pop off the center console side panel from the driver's side. That's the carpeted side panel, next to the gas pedal. You only need to pull the panel back far enough to see the drain line. Or if you prefer, remove the panel altogether. I was just afraid of taking it all the way off, as I didn't want to have to remove more than what I needed to. The drain hole is located about six inches in front of where the stick shift is located, under the center console. Just grab the drain line and re-attach it to the drain hole going to the bottom of the car, and voila! Mine did not have a clamp of any kind to hold it in place, but once you attach it to the drain hole, it's pretty tight. So, hopefully it won't come back off. I don't know how this came apart, but could be from me pulling out the carpeting and padding to dry up water that was there from my sunroof drain line leaking too! See my tip for fixing that issue as well!

SOURCE: Replacing front turn signal bulb on 2006 Cadillac SRX

wow i feel sorry for you because Cadillac designed this bulb to be a don't get to bulb but OK here's what you do take the bottom cover off or skid plastic panel under neath the front end theirs little plastic clips holding it on just get come dikes and don't cut them but just use it to help pull them out. after you get that off use a flash light and locate your light housing you should see two screws holding the house in i think those screws are 8mm i cant remember remove those two screws and be careful the metal from the bumper cuts you pull the light housing out and remove all the screws around the housing and open the housing up replace the bulb and make sure your contact to the bulbs clean and then reassemble the way you took apart. if you cant get it well then best bet is take it somewhere i know Cadillac charges an arm and a leg so you can go somewhere else.

SOURCE: rear liscese plate bulbs on 05 cadillac srx

First you have to take out the one and only screw in the rear hatch door - it's where the hand pull down is you use to close the hatch.
Then you have to pop all the plastic clips all the way around the plastic door panel, trying not to pull them out from the frame . If you do pull out the white plastic plugs from the frame you better make certain you take them off the plastic housing and insert them back into their frame holes - or you will never get the housing back on.

Once you have the housing loose disconnect the inside tail gate light wire to remove the whole thing. Then you have to remove 7 to 8 nuts from the back of entire License plate, back up bulb housing using a deep socket to get in there. Work it loose from the rear of the car and it will come out just enough to work on the lights.
This is tricky since the screw mounts don't give you much room to work with.

Once you have the license plate and back up bulb frame loose you will see the two housings for the license plate bulbs on top.

Slide out the license plate bulb lens and twist the bulb connection to remove the bulbs.
Replace both of them - you don't want to do this again in a month when the other one blows.

OPTIONAL:
Once you take out the bulbs you might see that the housing is melted where the bulb wanted to burn through. Drill two small holes one is each end of the housing before I put everything back together to release some of the heat.

Reverse the whole process to put everything back together. It's not easy.
Make sure you insert the cables through the opening for the hatch handle or it will kink and not work properly.

The bulbs come in a two pack of cost $4.95 .

SOURCE: where is oil drain plug on 2005 V8 SRX caddilac

crawl under the car with a drain contaner and a cresent wrench. Under the engine is the oil pan. The drain plug is located on the bottom end or slightly above on the side. It may be covered in dirt so scrap around. It has to be there. No other place for the oil to come out. It is possable it is a plug type with a large allen wrench hole or a squar hole that a ratchet will fit in to but most of them it is a bolt type. Don't forget to change the oil filter when changing oil. Let me know if this helps, The Raz

SOURCE: 2004 Cadillac DeVille. Leaking water onto

Yes there is a drain under the car on the passengers side. You will have to jack up the vehicle to look for it.It will be a small rubber tube.Use a small screw driver or something to loosen the debris that is clogging the drain.Be careful and do not use anything that is to long that could poke a hole in the evaporator or heater core.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Need to replace headlights

Open the hood of your SRX and disconnect the connector from rear of headlight by squeeaing the tabs. Pull off rubber dust cover. Rotate the collar on the headlight counterclockwise and pull it out of the headlight assembly. Insert new light and turn clockwise to lock it in place, DO NOT TOUCH THE BULB WITH YOUR FINGERS, THE OIL DEPOSITED FROM DOING THIS WILL CAUSE THE BULB TO OVERHEAT, LOWERING THE LIFE OF THE BULB CONSIDERABLY! use paper or something that is oil and dirt free. Replace dust cover and reconnect the power connector.

How to remove a radiator from a 1988 cadillac seville

1988 Cadillac Seville 4.5L TBI 8cyl Repair Guide
Radiator - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

On the 8-250 and 8-273 engines use only a coolant solution specifically designed for use in aluminum engines.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Drain the cooling system.
  3. Disconnect the air conditioning compressor, if so equipped, and position it out of the way without disconnecting the hoses.
  4. Remove the clamp that holds the air conditioning high pressure vapor line to the cradle.
  5. Loosen the hose clamps and disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses.
  6. Disconnect the two transmission cooler lines and plug them.

Disconnect the heater return hose, if so equipped.
  1. Remove the two top radiator cradle clamps, straps or sheet metal cover and the fan shroud. Disconnect the reservoir hose from the filler neck.
  2. Remove the vacuum hoses, if so equipped. Mark them for proper installation.
  3. Pull the radiator straight up and out of the car.
  4. Reverse the above procedure for installation.

How do I remove the radiator in a 1997 Dodge Dakota pickup?

I think your truck is pretty much the same as mine. Not alot to it. You should have 2 or 4 bolts that hold radiator in place, maybe a few bolts that hold fan shroud in place. To start you'll open hood, have to drain water out of radiator using a petcock, a drain valve at bottom of radiator. Loosen hose clamps on upper and lower radiator hose clamps. Once water is drained you'll have to remove the ends of the two hoses from radiator. The hoses may be kinda welded in place from rust so you may have to twist the ends back and forth until they loosen up. ( When you reinstall hoses, put a thin layer of any kind of grease on the inside of the ends so they can be turned easier. Remove bolts holding fan shroud in place and move it however you have to to give you access to lift radiator up ward and out of engine area. Remove bolts holding radiator and with some wiggling and guiding it should be able to lift it out. It might be tight. If you get a manual at Autozone it should give you better descriptions. Good luck. Please rate this. Thanks
