SOURCE: engine vibration in drive or reverse

Wow..thats not good..first have motor mounts checked, maybe the tranny mount or possibly if ur car has it is the driveshaft bearings...good luck on the oil leak...maybe tranny fluid..make sure if ur losing fluid that ur checking them incl. the tranny fluid...u might find ur leak first of all by rechecking the oil cap where it is supposed to be ...same with all fluid caps.

SOURCE: Big oil puddles in drive

You should get it up in a hoist and look at lower side of engine. Could be rear seal or something as simple as valve cover gasket leaking. It's probably a simple gasket that needs replacing but don't put it off, leaks don't fix themselves they only get worse.

My 2004 impala is sick i had the head gaskets replaced the water pump and otherstuff cant afford any more now its begining to use oil are there any trix to slowing this down to buy me more time

2 things to check, both are not very expensive.
Get underneath the car with a strong flashlight or drop light.
Look for any oil leaks.
There are two places that can leak oil.
One is the Valve Cover gasket. ( there may be 2 if you have a v-6).
These will leak a lot of oil, and you will find it usually running down the back of the motor near the firewall, or in other words, near where the people sit in the car, not the front of the car.
The second is the the oil pressure switch.
This plug is screwed into the engine block, and is easily replaced.
Both of these will show up as oily wet under the car.
If the underside is dry, and the tailpipe is black with soot inside, the engine is actually using the oil.
God bless your efforts.

Ford Freestyle - 2006 - Limited. After a 130 mile highway speeds 70 to 85 MPH the vehicle emitted OIL fumes enough to fog the back of the vehicle with a thin film of carbon black and oil file.

It could be a number of things.
Bad head gasket.
Worn rings.
Valve seals or guides or both.
Do a compression check of the cylinders that should help pinpoint the problem.
Hope this helps.

Soot / smoke accumulates on front rims

Nothing to do with fuel economy my friend, but that black soot is brake dust from your front pads.THAT's whats doing MOST of your braking. The front.YOUR problem, believe meit is YOU,is the fact that you do not use the emergency brake ever. Each time you put that emergency brake on,it adjusts the rear brake up a bit more, until eventually you have even braking force all around.Use the emergency brake EVERY time you park the car and get out.Eventually you'll notice that the black soot is minimal, but it will always be there a bit.Just keep the rear brakes adjusted up by using the e-brake a lot when stopped. That's also why the front pads ALWAYS wear out and back are still fine.NO emergency brake use.Rigger

I have a 1998 Holden Astra eng noEL20B24119 and want to know the Head bolt torque settings and sequence. The engine is the transition model with twin tappet cover seals. has the torx star headed bolts.

I cannot find a EL20B in my data, but all Astra listed had the same head sequence as shown:

10 6 2 3 7

9 5 1 4 8

the torque specs for the C20XE,C20NE,X20XEV were all
25nm(18lb/ft),-then 90 deg,-90deg,-90deg.
Z20LET were as above plus an additional 15deg.
Same data for smaller and larger engines(except a couple that were 45deg instead of 15)
Make sure that you replace the head bolts with new, they are torque to yield bolts that are designed to stretch to 'plastic' state, and should not be reused.
Put grease(graphite if you have it) under bolt heads and washers, oil the threads.
Usually the head sets come with the torque specs.
I hope this helps you.

Spark plugs is soot black and there's a check engine msg after oil spilled on the engine when i forgot to cover cyclinder head oil cover

the black soot may be old plug wires that should be replaced chances are the spilled oil caused the engine to miss fire setting off the check engine check the inside of the plug boots and plugs for oil.

Car has black soot residue near exhaust pipes and uses 2 quarts of oil each 400 miles,do i need a new engine

Black soot it due to too much fuel. I would get a compression test, and/or a leak down test done to see what condition your engine is in.

My '02 TDI has excessive black smoke on acceleration, so much so that people back off, it is worse than a city bus.

When did you last replace the air filter?
Check the air filter it may have been clogged by dust.
If its (air-filter) ok thn you will have to get the injector pump and the injector nozzles serviced.
Hope this helps!
