SOURCE: How do you connect an amplifier to factory stereo?

crutchfield.com has a complete list of speaker sizes. Most car amps now have connections for RCA inputs and speaker-level too, so you can probably use the existing head unit: most OEM head units do NOT have RCA outputs.

Back Speakers don't work.

Change the radio if it looks worse than the speakers. Or, go buy some junkyard speakers and try them out. If none of this works, sell the car.

Need help putting in stereo for a 1998 toyota avalon xls

hook speaker wires to the amplifier output, can't use from the radio wires because they used a not smart design using one wire output from radio to amplifier, the amplifier output is connected to your soeakers, a simple check, use 1.5 battery to speaker and check the speaket, should move, or hook to some cd player output, easier that way

On 2001 Crown Vic, radio lights are on, channels change, etc but no audio. Fuse issue or any other possibilities?

sounds like your speakers aren't connected properly. check your speaker leads coming from your radio and make sure they are positive to positive and negative to negative. if you're using an external amplifier, check your RCA cables and your speaker outputs on the amp. make sure thr remote turn on lead is connected, otherwise the amp won't even power on.
hope that helped, good luck

99 cherokee radio problem

Hi,

Either the radio's output ICs are fried or speaker/wires needs to be checked.

Incidentally, there are some higher end versions that has an Infinity Amplifier (P/N: 56038407AD) powering the speakers and not the radio (alone). If so, this amp needs a trigger on from the head unit to work and therefore, the trigger wire/connection must be checked. Otherwise, it may likewise require an internal check.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
