Doesn't stay running when i give it gas...

I have a 1988 chevy silverado 1500 and it has a 5.7 in it. If it's idle it runs if I put it in gear it still runs but touch the gas and the truck dies. What's wrong? I have a new fuel pump, fuel filter, pick up coil, computer box, regulator, you name it I've checked it and replaced it. The only thing I haven't mentioned is it sat up for about three years and the guy that was fixing it did the computer box and when you buy a computer box, you have to keep your own proms. I don't know if he did or if he put some out of something else. when I check the fuel pump to see if it's pumping it shoots out gas so I know it works. I checked the IAC, ECM, and couple of other things with initals, lol. I really don't know what else to do. I hope this isn't too big even for you guys.

- Is there something that will make the pressure continue to drop?

- We checked the MAP as well, and the throttle position sensor.

Clarification Request

Couple other things to check; Have you checked for vacuum leaks at the throttle body?
Is it gummed up? If so, clean it up with carb cleaner (injector safe type). I would also check the egr valve, clean or replace as needed. When you replaced the IAC, did you clean the passage out? Chevron techron cleaner, wouldn't hurt to run a can through the gas tank.

Are both injectors spraying gas? Make sure fuel filter wasn't installed backwards and remember if the fuel pressure drops below 9psi those trucks wont run. If injectors are sticking tap them lighty with a wrench and see if that helps

check the fuel regulator, its in between the 2 injectors, its kind of expensive, about $50.00,my old 89 chevy 350 in my dually acted like that, also check the throttle position sensor, then finally check the mass air flow sensor because it may be getting too much air
