SOURCE: 97 Jeep Wrangler Dash Gauges Arent Operating..everything else ok!

I have a 98 Wrangler - same problem. Dash gauges would work, then out (airbag light came on). Then it would work for a week or two than out.
Tried looking at fuses, wires, aftermarket radio problems, etc.
When I pulled the instrument cluster out of the dash, I noticed a lot of goop (lubricant) on one of the cluster plugs. So I wiped it off with a paper towel and now everything works. Maybe too much goop was shorting stuff out? Anyway, I'll know in a couple of months if that was my problem or not assuming my gauges keep working uninterrupted.

Change door hinge lower on 2010 dodge calaber

alot of new cars only the door half is changeable the other is welded to the body. you can buy pin and bushing kits
if the body side is egg shaped you will have to weld the hole up n redrill it (weld will temper it good luck with this) if not bad bushing kit will work. local wrecking yard is cheapest for door side if needed. use a jack with a piece of wood on it to support the door
when you take the hinge off be carefull not to stress any wires that go thru the boot into the door

A new friend? You can go to Autozone.com and register for free on their site. Then you can print wiring layouts and fusebox diagrams and try to reconstruct what is missing.

Insurance company. Comprehensive should cover this without a deductible.

I hope my solution helps.

Hello i just bought a used 2002 gmc envoy and we just noticed that the air compressor for the rear is missing. don't know much about this vehicle yet. also we noticed that the hinges for the doors have...

There is not a seperate compressor for the rear cabin...however there should be a seperate fan control button...should still be on the front dash...Glue on the hinges...? These hinges are welded, and bolted to the car body...do the door handles work properly? This model does have the child safety catches on the rear doors...you can see the set button on each door...needs to be set to open from the inside...engaged means will not open from the inside...Cold weather, and a recent car wash can cause problems opening even a brand new car door...Hope this helps...Your Car Dealer should fix all of the concerns for you...and show you how to operate the rear Heat/Air controls...an owners manual can help too...:)

You will have to have it welded back on. Probably have to remove front fender to do it right.

I was messing with the radio and messed something up because my interior lights, power locks and alarm do not work. i checked all the fuses and it shows that they are all working. any suggestions or ideas?

try unhooking the battery and leaving it unhooked for three minutes reinstall and see if it resets it sound like you could have tripped the anti theft system but it didn't set the whole alarm off there is also a relay panel under the hood check the power lock relay by replacing it with the one marked "spare" if there is not a spare one there then pull a NON essential one with the same prongs and try that one if it still does not work hold the Odometer reset button down as you turn the key on (with out starting the car) and let go of the button and the dash will go through a self diagnosis all of the lights, gauges, and warning indicators will cycle and in the mileage display window it will give you a "Fault Code" if there is something wrong. Then write that code down and you can find out what it means by looking it up on line or just call a dealer ship.Hope this helped good luck.

I HAVE A 98 GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO AND MY DOOR HINGE JUST SEPERATE

Guess they should have re-enforced those...too many are coming off. Not an easy fix but you need to remove the door and have the inside of the pillar re-enforced and welded in place with a heavier gauge insert. I've only seen one person do this in a way that impressed me. He cut a slot in the pillar and slid the insert inside, supported it with a screw placed into a pre -drilled hole (used as a handle), then welded it into the opening. the weld was then ground flat and the hinge was tack welded on top, while still on the door, then door was removed again and weld was completed. A lighter gauge piece was welded over the opening (slot) and then the pillar was re-painted. (looks like factory, wasn't cheap but was very strong.)

Electrical

The only thing the items have in common, the G200 ground. I would check the ground attachment to the body, should be located on the driver side under the kick panel trim around the door jam area.
Take a look and let me know.
