Question about 1995 Jeep Cherokee
Ok I know I messed up but I welded my door hinge back on an forgot to unhook my cables. Now my dash gauges don't work but the lights do an my blower motor stopped working. I checked all the fuses an checked all my grounds even changed the cluster. I can usually figure most things out but HELP lol I can't figure this one out.

Check VSS Vehicule Speed Sensor wire may be corroted, bad connection or faulty; if 2wd the adaptor is located on the extension housing of the transmission (left side)
if 4wd look on transfer case extension (left side)

It happened to me, I had to replace the flasher lever for about $45 at the parts store and now my flashers work great. It was all corodded on the inside it also affects your brake lights.

I have a 98 Wrangler - same problem. Dash gauges would work, then out (airbag light came on). Then it would work for a week or two than out.
Tried looking at fuses, wires, aftermarket radio problems, etc.
When I pulled the instrument cluster out of the dash, I noticed a lot of goop (lubricant) on one of the cluster plugs. So I wiped it off with a paper towel and now everything works. Maybe too much goop was shorting stuff out? Anyway, I'll know in a couple of months if that was my problem or not assuming my gauges keep working uninterrupted.
