Could be weak battery or bad fuel. A weak battery can mess up the settings on the electronics for initial start. Bad gas can separate and congregate near the fuel tank pickup.

Try adding a can of Drygas to tank.

2003 sentra Nissan. Trouble starting, engine has died while I was driving, it did start back up. Today speedometer, engine temp, etc showed nothing? Battery is 5 months old? What could be wrong?

Nothing working on the instrument cluster ? Shouldn't be a battery problem with being only five months old. Turn on the headlamps , do they shine bright ? Does the check engine light come on when you turn the key to the on position ? Do all warning lights come on with the key on , then some go off after a few seconds ? Checking for diagnostic trouble codes in the instrument cluster would be a good thing to do also . The Instrument cluster could be the problem .

Won't turn over

The battery may have the volts but the cranking Amps may be low in the battery(light will dim real low when trying to start). If the battery cranking Amps are good then the alternator is charging the battery.
If that is all good then the starter motor may need replacing

Will not start ... for a month or better it started having trouble starting would click once when you truned the key and you would have to turn the key several time (some times more than others) and it...

It sounds like you need a new starter. Your armature has few dead spots on it and every time you turn the key it moves just a little until you hit a good spot and then it spins and the car starts

Also the first things to check are fuel and spark, after you figure out if you are getting spark and fuel, then you can start to trouble shot the problem.
