Question about Cars & Trucks
Go to the manufacturer's site, download the firmware update and put it on an SD Card and plug it into the head unit, and it should upgrade/reinstall the firmware. It may take a while, so leave it alone until it tells you it has completed. It sounds to me like the process was at one time attempted and interrupted. Hence the error message.

i have a 2002 ford escape and i bought a double din radio and it did not fit and found out it is actually a din and 3/4 with out serious mods (cutting a bigger hole in dash) double din wont fit i bought a single din stereo and a din a 3/4 dash kit works fine

The Silverado actually has a 1.5 DIN radio stock. If you're looking to replace it you'll need a mounting kit to convert either to 1 din or double din depending on which stereo you want to use.
