Check your clutch fluid level, sometimes a seperate reservoir (drivers side on firewall), some clutch systems take fluid from the brake system (check brake fluid). If thats ok then the clutch slave may be failing.
If the clutch fluid is low refill it and check for leaks (or just wait till the symptom comes back). If it's happens often then theres a leak in the line or the slave somewhere.

good point but even if it is the cable one its automatic, hydraulic is non adjustable.if it is the cable operated one the clutch is mounted to the back of the flywheel, nothing difficult but you will need the round alignment tool,if its hydraulic it could have a dualmass flywheel which it is advisable to change thats a straight forward job to do is it a 1j chassis build 7th and 8th digit of the vin number

There is problem in the gearbox. The sincronizers for a first & second gear are on the same gearswitch.Need to change them.Forget about the clutch.
