Hi, I'm sorry to say. if you are asking if it's a DIY project, than I would say no. Please buy a repair manual and read what it will take to do the job. You will know if you can do the repair. Loosing antifreeze can be a bad thing for pets and cars. Please fix the problem before you loose a pet or over heat your engine.

I have a 1996 saturn 1.9 litre. Ohc. I replased water pump and still getting very warm. I found a pin hole in the underside of the radiator cap. Its on the bottom on the part above the water hole. Could...

Pressure test the radiator for leaks if it holds pressure start the engine. And check if pressure rises and keeps rising ,if it does it points to blown gasket or cracked head. A faulty thermostat can make it over heat so check it out . I would not mix the anti freeze as a lot of them don't mix well. put the anti freeze in all year as it stops corrosion of the cooling system.

I have a 98 chevy tahoe (5.7l) i have changed plugs, wires, cap, rottor, oil, and mass air flow sensor. but the computer reads every thing is working. except misfires in cilnder 5&7. HELP!!!!!!!!!!...

do a compression check on those 2 cylinders to rule out head gasket, check the new plugs you installed to see if they got fouled out, it is possible some anti-freeze may be leaking into those cylinders from the intake gasket.
1998 uses dex cool anti-freeze and it is known to eat away and corrode the gaskets.
the only good way to use dex cool is to mix precisely 50/50 and use distilled water.
switching to the green can cause water pump damage since they are designed for the lubricant in the dex cool.i mention the anti-freeze because a lot of people will change the gaskets and run the green only to have a failing water pump not long after, if you decide to switch make sure you replace the pump.

Anti freeze is leaking after i shut the car off. my ratiator is new. its leaking under the belts

It sounds like the water pump . The pump has a small hole in the bottom of it thats there to let you know when the pump seal is leaking its to prevent the pump from failing in a major way at highway speeds where it would do a lot of damage . Most water pumps have this and its called a weep hole . If this is were its leaking you need to have the water pump replaced farly soon the bearing will be the next thing to go

I drained the cooling system and refilled with antifreeze. Now it runs hot. I know the water pump and thermostat are ok

If you filled it with straight anti-freeze, it will run hot. Anti-freeze needs to be diluted with water to work properly. Use the guidelines on the jug to figure the proper mixture for your area. If unsure, usually 50-50 is a good mix (but I live in the SE US). I was guilty of the straight anti-freeze usage in the '80's and was told I had to mix it...and when I did, everything worked properly.
Hope this helps...if you didn't use straight antifreeze, then this is of no help :)

Water pump

This is quite a project... I would recommend, if you're going to do this yourself, obtaining a repair manual for the van. They usually have sections to walk you through the process and go into good detail, specific for your model.
The job can be done easily in a day... get an early start though. Good luck!

Water pump on escort

If the engines are Zetec DOHC 16v, I would suggest that you source a new water pump for your engine. To change the water pump is not very easy for the average DIY. I would entrust the job to a vehcile technician and get the drive belts changed at the same time as the anti freeze would have contaminated your drive belts.
