Question about 2005 Toyota Tundra SR5

1 Answer

2005 Tundra access cab with V6. When you let off the gas there is a vibration that gets stronger the slower you get. It is very strong when about to stop. Does not matter if in neutral, braking or coasting. If you hold throttle against the brakes while slowing there is no vibration.

SOURCE: steering wheel vibration

Did they "turn" your rotors? They may have "improperly" turned your front rotors. This is common and they should correct this where you had the work done.

How are the bump stops fixed to the rear springs on a 2012 Toyota tundra

I installed air bags (firestone) and had to cut them off with a sawmill. I believe they are glued or vulcanized on. It was not a quick or easy task as it took quite a while to cut because they are made of a very hard material. Hope this helps.

I have a 2005 Toyota Tundra - the front end vibrates when turning. What's causing this?

When was the last time you balanced and rotated tires,it's recommended to do it every 6000 miles,Sam's club does it for 15 or if you bought tires from there then it's free.Make sure lug nuts are tight.

MISFIRE # 1 WHAT SIDE IS IT ON WHICH SIDE IS THE # 1 PLUG ON

The left (drivers) side cylinder head is numbered from front (radiator)
1-3-5-7

The right (passenger) side cylinder head is numbered from front
2-4-6-8

per 2001 Toyota repair manual page EM-103 and 105. The numbers are not on the engine, from what I can see, but the manual is very specific on this info.

Need to replace cargo & third break light how do i

if its the same as an 06 Tundra, you should be able to remove the lense cover from the back of your truck cab with a screwdriver and pull the light bulbs out...Do not remove the screws below the lense cover that removes the fixture, they have a screw insert that will fall into your truck's body and get lost.....hehehehe I learned that from my own experience...good luck!
