Question about 2003 GMC Safari Cargo
Adamo Oct 18 09:21 am (PDT) I have a 2003 GMCSafari cargo van, notice that when stopped at a red light or stopped in gear my van vibrates a lot but when diving it goes away or in neutral it stops .???? Please help As well I have a norther problem! When I push on the gas to accelerate, back end vibrates a lot and I hear a clicking noise for a short time? When I accelerate smoothly very little vibrations ? I just bought this van in July and having all these problems? My luck:( my Klm are at 236000
Sound like you either have a universal joint on the way out or a balance issue with the driveshaft. The vibration at idle might be an engine miss or its running lean. With that many miles it could be a simple vacuum leak at the manifold, but that should throw a check engine light. Maybe check compression on each cylinder to make sure they are close to equal. It could be just a worn out engine.
