Testimonial: "Thanx for trying ro help me with your answer but the climate cabin temperature sensor sniffs the air fro thedome light area and its for the purpose of sending a signal to the climate comtrol for the air conditioning the sensor has aprobe with resistor and a place for the vacuum hose theres nothing in the trunk it should be located under the hood or the climate comtrol unit but I want to be sure before I start taking things apart there was another posting suggesting it was a coolant sensor that is totally wrong the there are 2 coolant temperature sensors on the Nercedes 300E 2.8 and the blue one is located at the water outlet on front of the engine and its the blue one its on the same location as the thermostat housing the other one is at the water pump and theyre not the same as an air ambient inside the car at the dome light on the left side there is asmall window where the sensor is hooked up and its design to sample the inside of the cabin air to send the correct continuous info to the climate control unit providing the vacuum suction is working properly otherwise its totally useless and the compressor will not turn on not even by jumpimg the wires 5 and 7 at the relay swith cluster.Tahnx anyway for trying"

Where is the small blower the samples the air insie the cabin on a 93 Mercedes 2.8 this is the part # 0008301908 its about 3 inches long and its not the same as the primary blow motor underneath the...

Under the dash . Remove the glove box to see it. It is the sampling fan that blows cabin air past a temperature sensor to allow the automatic heating system HVAC to keep temperature you set, steady.

The HVAC will work just fine without it although you may have to fine tune the temperature setting from time to time.

Fixing my sunroof in a merceds 300E

Lubrication of the Sunroof in the 300E is a part of your regular service schedule. Mercedes Sells the correct lubrication grease.

See HERE for some semi-detailed instructions and places to get the grease and whatnot.

As usual when working with motorized devices, make sure to disconnect the fuse for the sunroof, or the battery from the car, to prevent injury and damage.
