This is a high reading on the last sensor on Bank 1. It is monitoring the end of the Catalytic exhaust flow heading towards the muffler.

A leak may develop and cause this reading to generate. The O2 sensor may be bad. Or the wiring to the sensor is damaged.

Diagram for resetting diagnostic codes??? If you are looking for the OBDII Data Link Connector, it is under the laft side of the dash. All OBDII Data Link connectors are the same size and shape on every vehicle sold in the United States since 1996. If you are attempting to reset failure codes without diagnosing and repairing the reason the code exists in the first place, it will only result in the code coming back again.

You should have this problem scanned as soon as possible. Usually when the engine light comes on, it means you have a problem But if it blinks its a warning that u should pull over and shut it off to prevent damage to your engine & its parts. It sounds like a fuel injection/emissions problem. I ignored this problem once & it melted my catalytic converters!

1996 Buick Regal - Jerking while accelerating - check engine ligh

I need the fault codes. Without the codes I can't help, just to many possibilities. Have never heard of any fault code that cited Auxiliary emission control sensors" in my 35 years of emission repair on all makes and models. Sooooo... have the fault code(s) read again and write them down. Autozone does this test for free.

My emission light came on in our Honda Odyssey last Friday, checked gas-cap to make sure it's all good and tight. Emission light still on... What other problems do I need to check ? PLEASE HELP

Bring the Honda to a parts store to have them read stored engine codes to determine what's going on (a free service at most stores). They will plug a hand held scan tool into a diagnostic port under the dash, and 'read' any codes in the cars computer. They can explain what they mean and give advice on what to do. If you have any questions, post them with the code #;s here, we'll help.

Car is jerking engine light is flashing and smell gas

With modern cars it is bad when the engine light just comes on and the vehicle does something very different. It should not be driven. If the car is smelling of fuel and jerking it is because it's miss-firing (i.e. one or more cylinder is not getting spark but is getting fuel). This can be anything from electrical/electronic to mechanical like a broken rotor cap (as an example). The good thing, is that the light is coming on and a mechanic can check the ECU for error codes. Alternatively, you can buy or barrow one your self and check it out on your own (I think even certain auto-part stores will check it for you as long as you get in the zone;). 1996 is a good year for that since that is when OBDII started and all vehicles started using the same port to check for issues.
