SOURCE: When turning sharply at low speed I hear a loud thump. 97 Lesabre

You may find it's either a worn CV joint or it may just need greasing up.
Check the bellows for splits, and if OK you can cut the large band that holds it in place, pull it back and check for grease, fill with grease and reattatch using a tie-strap.

take to an alignment shop, no sense in describing the problem when a look with a machine will tell you what's up.

SEVERE vibration in front end when accl. it stops when i back off accl.why and what?

I assume this is a front wheel drive vehicle? It sounds like a cv axle shaft might be going bad. When you turn your steering wheel sharply to the right or left and move forward, do you get a clicking type noise?

Have whinning noise when turning right or slowing down sounds like a power steering noise in rear end

A whinning noise while turning is an indication of a worn bearing. The extra pressure put against the bearing/race during the turn and the closing of a gap creates this noise.I would chech the axle bearings on the side of the truck on the outside the curve when you hear it. What I'm saying is if you hear it when you turn left....check the right side bearing

Clunking accelerating or turning sharply to the left.

Check the front suspension ball joints and steering joints. Check wheel bearings and adjustment. Check shock absorber mounts for condition . Check steering insert condition and top mount rubbers and bearings if McPherson strut set up.. If you have a steering shock absorber then check it's condition and mounting

My 2005 avalon has 154,000 miles on it and I'm getting a noise from the front end, expecially when I turn sharply to the right or left. I have the tires rotated and balanced every 6,000 miles. Would this...

sounds like it could be wheel bearings but I'm surprised that when they rotate the tires they didn't catch this.

The next time you have your tires rotated ask to have the jacked up front end tested for loose front end parts. They can shake it down physically looking for play in the ball joints, tie rod ends, and bearings.

Struts generally wear out and cause a bouncy front end conditioin. Brakes, if properly assembled, won't make any additional noise when turning left or right.

Good luck on this.

Backing up sharply with the front left wheel turn out! I can hear a poppin sounds on the left front side

tie rod end wore out or other front end parts could cause you to lose control of steering suddenly check with a front End shop for issue as it will have to be aligned after part is fixed.

Power train, transmission questions.

Get ready for a overhaul. Ask the transmission companies and they will tell you that us Dodge owners are their best customers. Your torque converter is getting toasted. You have about 10k before it goes. Sorry for the news. Got mine done and now at 213, ooo so it was worth 1700 to get it fixed. got an extra 60 k and going strong.
