SOURCE: egr valve

Here is a picture of the egr valve for your blazer. http://www2.partstrain.com/store/?Ntt=EGR%20Valve&N=9968%201588%204294967265
Quite pricey. As for changing it out I would head to your local library and seek out their online car repair sources. Be sure to take a jump drive or a floppy disk to take the documents back home with you. From your home print out the proper techniques as well as torque specs for the removal and replacement of the egr valve. Good luck.

SOURCE: hey chevy s/10 2.2 code po405 egr any fixs

You have two options to fix this error code. One, obviously, you can replace the EGR valve. If you do this, just reset the codes and you should be good to go. Two, you can remove the EGR valve and clean the carbon build up out of it. You can do this with throttle body cleaner and just make sure to let it dry out before you put it back on. You need to make sure that the valve (diaphram) is moving freely after you clean it. If it isn't, you are going to need to replace the EGR valve. Let me know if you have any further questions. SOURCE: i have a 2003 chevy impala i changed the egr valve

The code in the ECU might not have reset after you changed the EGR. Try unhooking the battery and let the car sit for a couple minutes and then hook it back up and see if the light goes away.

2003 4.6 F150 engine light on code po175 and po405 how do i remedy .

The 405 is EGR Valve related ,so work on that first

The 175 is a Rich O2 Sensor on Bank 2
The would be the drivers side for you

I would replace the front 2 O2 Sensors IF
they have more than 100,000 miles on them
That is when they should be changed

Once the egr works the O2 code will go
away, maybe, unless your about to have the
famous ignition coil experience we all have with
fords once or twice a year.

Erroe code po405 on my car

Hello.
The error code PO405 = EGR, ( Exhaust Gas Recirculation ), sensor A circuit low input.

What the EGR does;
EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation system
Recycles small amounts of exhaust gas from exhaust system, 8 to 10 %, and mixes it with intake manifold air going into the combustion chambers. The addition of this inert, or non-combustable exhaust gas limits the peak combustion temperatures to a range that is below 2,500 degrees F, where the formation of nitrogen oxide, ( NOx ), is known to occur.

Here's a picture of an EGR valve to help you locate yoursem1cl_1.jpg
You may find that you just have a lose hose, or you may have a small vacuum leak.

I hope this helps you.

2001 Isuzu Trooper PO405 code

The throttle body is coated with a sludge resistant material. If you cleaned it all out you are actually hurting your engines performance, because the throttle body resists sludge which in turn protects your throttle plate and bore. You may want to check your egr vacuum regulator, for the cause of your problem.

In the top picture you can see egr adapter, three bolts, the egr valve mounts to adapter. Hope the picture gives you some orientation? You can see the 5 wire connector and wire colors. The bottom picture should be the egr valve.
