SOURCE: 97 ford expedition air bag code flashes 2 1. What does that mean?

Code 21 is for the passenger side air bag circuit. Could be the air bag, the seat sensor, or a wiring problem.

The air bags

Replace the air bags with conventional shock conversion
& disable the compressor

Too expensive & complicated to keep trying to
repair those systems

There are at least 4 or 5 big well know companies
that offer those parts for expedition & navigators

The truck leans to the back (right side) could it be the air suspension? If so, how can you correct the problme

You need to check for air leaks with some soapy water, then go from there. There is valving for each suspension bag. There are vent solenoids which may be stuck open for that axle. If the airpump is not constantly running it would mean the system does not have a leak which is a good thing.

Your problem is localized to the right rear. The bag solenoid is not opening to get air from the pump. Check your ground wires and unplug the connection at the bag and look for corrosion.

This system can be checked electronically with the proper scanner. It will be quick once it is diagnosed. You just need to find a repair shop with the proper tools if you don't want to fix it yourself.

I have a 99 ford expedition i replaced the air compressor cause the front air shocks were bad and ruined the compressor. and teh rear air bags went flat now that the new compressor is in the rear wont air...

I have a 2001 Expedition, I don't have air bags in the front, the compressor don't work the air shocks. You have rear leveling. When they replaced the (compressor) did they turn the leveling switch back on. you may have air shocks connected to the compressor. Did the rear go down right after or over a couple of days. If the switch is on, turn it off and jack the rear up quiet a bit, make sure both side are quiet equal with each other, like it would be if it where raised by the air bags. Turn your level switch back on with it jacked up or sitting on stands. It may have went down so much that the compressor can't raise them back up.

2001 Ford Expedition XLT EB rear air bag suspension does not inflat

Sounds like the seals may have failed in the air shocks themselves. I also think you may have a bleeder valve problem. Follow the lines back and check the bleeder valve to see if it is leaking when you have someone else turn the vehicle on.
