SOURCE: What type of engine and year
the easiets way to find this is in the tagthe white tag under the engine has the yr an engine size unfortunatelly you are not telling me if you have a v-8 motor or a v-6 this trucks come with 6 or 8 cylinders also if your mechanic does not not what engine size is in it ask to any shop to run the vin number with a snapon scan tool and the tool will automatic give you the engine size

the block casting when you are looking at the rear of the engine would be where the bellhousing bolts to the engine on the top-left side of the engine, the head casting should be on the left side head when looking from the back torwards the middle-bottom,and the crank cast should be behind the flywheel on the engine
