All lights go blank after gmc envoy 2002 warms up. why?

There may be a bad wire somewhere. I would check first the the thermostat and its wiring for exposed conductor or bad insulation or wires in contact with metal or other wires. The thermostat is located at one of the radiator hoses. It looks like a plug from the outside and has wires connected to it.

The three connections are labled (C),(1),and (2). (C) is common (useually the white wire). (1) is hot power into the thermostat (black wire). (2) is ran to your heater. So when the thermostat is turned on it will connect (1) and (2) until it reaches tempature. Hope this helps.

I just want to replace the radiator and themostat in my 93 100 with v6 engine. Is this difficult? Where can I find a diagram showing the proper steps?

The thermostat is located in the engine block just to the side of the water pump underneath the housing where the upper radiator hose is attached.
  1. Remove the lower engine shield.
  2. Place a large drain pan under the vehicle to collect the coolant.
  3. Remove the radiator cap and drain the cooling system into a suitable container.
  4. Place a large drain pan under the engine block drain located at the bottom of the engine near the vicinity of the flywheel and the oil pan.
  5. Drain the engine block coolant into a suitable container.
  6. Place the (hood) lock carrier in the 'service position'. For additional information, please refer to the following topic(s): Body And Trim, Service Position, Front Bumper, Hood Lock Carrier.
  7. Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, please refer to the following topic(s): General Information And Maintenance, Routing Maintenance And Tune-Up.
  8. If installed, remove the upper front engine cover.
  9. Remove the toothed camshaft drive belt from the right side cylinder head to allow enough access to remove the thermostat housing. Cover and protect the drive belt from residual coolant.
  10. Remove the mounting fasteners; remove the housing, then the thermostat.

This is for the thermostat..

Water Pump REMOVAL & INSTALLATION 1.8L Engine NOTE: The coolant pump is bolted to the brackets for the generator, power steering pump, and cooling fan.
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
  2. Position the lock carrier into the service position as follows:
    1. Remove or disconnect:
      • Front bumper.
      • Any wiring or connector that would inhibit locking the carrier.
      • 3 quick-release screws on the front noise insulation panel.
      • Air guide between the lock carrier and the air filter.
      • Retaining clamps for the wiring harness at the left side of the radiator frame.
      • No. 2 bolts and install Support tool 3369 or equivalent.
      • Remaining bolts and pull the lock carrier out to the stop.
    2. To secure the lock carrier, install the appropriate M6 bolts into the rear of the lock carrier and fender.
  3. Remove or disconnect
    • Negative battery cable.
    • Accessory drive belt, then the engine driven cooling fan.
    • Coolant.
    • Clamps for the coolant hoses at the water pump.
    • Intake air duct between the intake manifold and the charge air cooler.
    • Generator mounting bolts and slide it forward.
    • Wiring from the generator once it is removed.
  4. Unbolt the following supports and brackets for the generator, power steering pump, and engine cooling fan:
    1. Intake manifold support
    2. Support for the engine torque bracket
    3. Brace to the cylinder block (remove completely)
  5. Remove or disconnect:
    • Brackets for the generator, power steering pump, and engine cooling fan, positioning the brackets to the left side using a piece of wire
    • Coolant hoses from the pump and thermostat housing
    • Coolant pump housing from the timing belt cover
    • Coolant pump mounting bolts, then the pump

1999 Audi A4 Engine Coolant Thermostat

I completely understand. Here's where you can find the thermostat location:
2.8L V6 Engines

The thermostat is located in the engine block just to the side of the water pump underneath the housing where the upper radiator hose is attached.
  1. Remove the lower engine shield.
  2. Place a large drain pan under the vehicle to collect the coolant.
  3. Remove the radiator cap and drain the cooling system into a suitable container.
  4. Place a large drain pan under the engine block drain located at the bottom of the engine near the vicinity of the flywheel and the oil pan.
  5. Drain the engine block coolant into a suitable container.
  6. Place the (hood) lock carrier in the "service position".
WARNING: The thermostat vent valve must be installed facing up otherwise the cooling system may develop air pockets and allow the engine to overheat.
  1. Using new O-ring, install the thermostat making sure the vent valve is installed facing up.
  2. Install the thermostat housing and torque the housing the bolts to 88 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  3. Inspect the camshaft drive belt for wear and damage and replace if necessary. If contaminated with fluids or lubricants, it should be replaced. For additional information, please refer to the following topic(s): General Information And Maintenance, Routine Maintenance And Tune-Up, Engine And Engine Overhaul, Timing Belt And Sprockets.
  4. Installation is in reverse order of removal noting the following: Top off cooling system with the recommended fluid and concentration. For additional information, please refer to the following topic(s): General Information And Maintenance, Fluids And Lubricants.
Post your email address and I'll send you a couple of exploded diagrams. Have fun.
