98 Toyota 4runner sunroof stuck open controls do not work. Is there a way to close it manually?

this looks like a power issue at the switches..need to check fuses and circuit breakers first and then see if there is power to the switches. if not you may be able to remove the switch setup out of the car door and if possible power it up with a battery charger strong enough to close the window..(motor buzzing will tell you if the charger will work or not) if you dont think you can do that, check with a custom car shop who may assist you in closing the window(let them know it may be an electrical switch issue) good luck

I have a 2010 Toyota Camry with a front passenger window problem. The window goes up and comes right back down sometimes when I push the button to roll the window up. The window will finally stay up...

Hello Susan..... What you are experiencing is the jam protection function: During automatic
closing operation, the window stops and opens half way if something gets caught
between the window and window frame. If the window receives a strong impact,
this function may work even if nothing is caught.

If the power window does not operate automatically or the jam protection function does not operate correctly, you should normalize the power window
To normalize the power window:
1. Push down the power window switch and lower the windows fully.
2. Pull up the switch until the windows close and hold the switch for a second. Make sure that the window open and close automatically. If the power windows cannot be operated properly, have it
checked by your dealer.

1988 town car rear windows go down wont go up

Seems like you need window motors. When you flip the switch to roll them down, the window basically "falls" down slowly, but when rolling them back up, the motors aren't strong enough anymore to slide the heavy window back into place. Unfortunately that is usually the only solution when it comes to power windows. Your switch could be bad, but if you tried all switches in the car it is definitely your motors.

How to replace a power window unit 1999 silverado

Hello my name is Ben and I can help you with this. First the door panel needs to come off. Look toward the front bottom and remove that screw, then there is one at the armrest. If power windows, carefully pry the switch assembly up and disconnect electrical connectors. Carefully pry out the trim piece around the door handle. Next remove that triangle shaped plastic piece at the top of the door trim, it just comes straight out, ( use a small screwdriver or putty knife to gently pry it out from the edge ) , once you are sure you have found all the screws, start at the bottom of the panel and pry it out, when the fasteners are out lift the panel up.If you meet STRONG resistance double check for any screws you missed. Now with the glass in the fully up position, use some strong tape and tape it up. Run the tape up and over the door frame and use at least 3 strips. Now you can safely unbolt the glass carrier and window regulator. If you have any questions about this feel free to leave a comment and I will try to clarify my answer, Ben.

Power windows and door locks stopped working?

First thing I would do is check the fuse. Then the relay (it's location should be in the owners manual) You can test the relay with an ohmmeter. It should have a strong reading. Make sure window lock is not on.

Where is the location of power window motor drivers side on a 2000 dodge neon

The power window motor is inside the door. To access the motor you must remove the inner door panel. A word of caution be very careful if you have your fingers in the wrong spot and try the motor when testing, if it runs they are strong enough to slice a finger off.

Power windows dont work

Power for the windows comes from the battery, through the fusebox, to the driver's door switches, before being routed over to the passenger side. If you can't control the windows from either side, first check the fuses, and if they're OK, I'd strongly suspect a problem with the driver's door switch module. You can usually pull them out of a salvage yard for around $10 or so - doing a swap would be a simple job and you will either nail the problem there or eliminate it if new switches don't fix the problem. If that doesn't do it, you may have a wiring issue (broken wire, disconnected harness, etc). Chances are it's a fuse or the switches though.

1992 f150 power window

If the window motor runs then perhaps the window channels need lube, get a can of silicone spray lube and apply to both window channels until it drips out the door bottom and then retry, if no change replace the regulator.
