Question about 1991 Acura Integra Hatchback

1 Answer

Recently changed Head gasket on 1991 acura integra. After putting everything back up, in the order in which they were removed the fuel pump does not 'prime' when ignition switch in engaged. The wires for the coolant temperature sensor and engine temperature gauge cannot be easily reattached. Checked all fuses and switched my fuel pump relay with a friends, but no luck. Any idesa?

Bring the main relay from under the left side of the dash into view and tap it with a screwdriver while your trying to start the car. If this starts the car... then you can take the cover off of it and look really close for broken solder. Re-melt the solder and it will work. Don't be surprised if you replace it with another used one and it won't work, most all of these go bad eventually... had to fix many of them.

How do I disable the ABS light on my 1996 Acura Integra?

Take out the dash bezel, then the guage cluster. The ABS light plugs into the back of the cluster. uplug it and let it hang or put a piece of electrical tape over the face and trim it to fit exactly. Plug it back in and put everything back in in reverse order.

There are 2 philips head screws on the top side of the inside of the bezel and the guage cluster has 4 10mm bolts holding them in.

Where is the pump located i was told under the back seat but also in the corner of the tank and i need to drop it to change the pump help me

Its physically inside of the fuel tank. You must remove the back seats to get to the little plate that has three screws and take that off to get to it.

My 91 acura integra with a 95 gsr motor in it starts, then dies right away. I replaced the spark plugs, checked for spark through the wires, and checked to see if fuel was coming from the pump. Everything...

did you check the fuel pressur on the fuel rail with a gauge or did you just unplug the pressure reg..

also you should try replacing the fuel filter first... this is cheap 6-12 dollars autozone. just becuase the fuel pump is pumping doesnt mean it its enough. There mightbe a strainer on the fuel pump that might be plugged.

Blown head gasget

Well what you may have to do is replace the gasket.
U have to buy one and then replace it. In order to do that u have to take the heads off. Take the old gasket off. Put your new one where the old one was. And apply some sealant so that it will stay. Once u do that. Just put everything back together. Or u can take the easy way and pay someone to do it. But thats all that i know. Hopefully it helps you with your problem.
