That would be your blower motor resistor! They always stop working on low and med first (kinda like a warning) may also need a blower fan at this point.

SOURCE: ac fan stoped working all of sudden the other day

Look to see if the ac compressor is turning, look at the center of the pulley on the compressor,if it is turning,it could be a stopped up orifice tube,if it is not turning, check the freon, make sure you have not got a leak.

It is possible your lungs are cleaning themselves out. They have never breathed so clearly.

Having said that, I highly recommend you see a doctor if you are experiencing regular shortness of breath

Smoking fan switch on 1997 chevy blazer

the contacts on the switch are worn so it is not making a good connection, this will cause it to overheat the switch and can cause a fire.

2003 Hyundai Sante fe A/C fan and rad fan not turning Fast enough while A/C is on but work OK when engine come to temp. ac starts off cold then gets warm after about 5 miles.

make sure radiator and or condensor fins are not restricted with dirt , bugs etc. poor airflow across the condensor. high side pressure could rise too high causing compressor to cycle off and on and not cool the freon properly.not sure what you mean when you say you play with the relay and it comes on. compressor or the fan? pull the relay and look at the female pins and make sure they are not spread open too wide. is the check engine lamp on? sometimes computers will disable ac for some other faults. im not sure if you mean the compressor is turning off and staying off, or just not cooling well due to fan problem. if its turning off it could be a control head problem or the pcm disabling it for another reason. or if you are manipulating the relay then compressor kicks on you may have a bad relay. hope this helps

Smoking

Smoking is caused by a few different things. First, you have to look at the color of the smoke to determine what's burning. If the smoke is blue(most common), then it's oil burning, if it's white, then it's antifreeze, and if it's black, it's unburned fuel. Blue smoke is oil escaping into the cylinder prior to ignition. On high mileage engines, the usual places are worn valve guides, where the oil runs down the valve stem and into the cylinder. On Occasion, a faulty PCV valve will cause this under certain moderate-high throttle conditions, but usually intermittently, with a sudden drop in performance. Worn Piston rings will also cause a constant blue smoke emission, another very common occurrence in high-mileage or worn engines. When you're burning oil, you will usually get excessive deposits on your spark plugs. Black smoke is a mismanagement of fuel by the car's computer and sensors. It means that it's running way too much fuel in the mixture of fuel to air, and not all of the fuel is burning. Black smoke isn't very prominent, and rarely lingers. The average person won't notice it as being out of the ordinary. Causes include faulty oxygen sensors, airflow sensor, map sensor, vacuum leak, and a myriad of other sensor issues. White smoke is caused from antifreeze leaking into the engine prior to ignition. It's usually caused from a blown head gasket or cracked head, and often is accompanied by a cylinder or two misfiring on startup. It's most prominent when you first start it up in the morning.
All of these require additional troubleshooting measures, and this is not an all-inclusive list of possible problems causing each smoke, however it should give you a good start on determining what's up with your car, as these are the most common causes. Hope this is what you were looking for.

The fan in my truck only turns on on high speed.

A bad blower motor resistor will cause it. It is located ny the blower motor p.s. below dash.

Rpm drops while adling causing 'grinding' sound while white smoke flows from behind or below radiator.

You should replace the cooling fan. With the ac on and no cooling fan, high pressure builds in the condensor and compressor bogging the engine down. When it gets too high a relief valve dumps and you get what appears to be white smoke. It's actually freon, hence the smell. I've replaced several PT cooling fans with the same symptoms.
