Question about 1994 Mazda MPV

Open Question

Water leak. Put fluid in everyday. installed new radiator. still leaking. Is not overheating. Is not spitting or missing. Not wet on drivers side of engine but very messy on passenger side. Doesn't appear to have water mixed in oil on oil stick. Water is hitting the ground near front of engine but is not coming from hoses attached to radiator It has been leaking for over a year. Stop leak treatment worked for awhile which is why I thought it was the radiator.

SOURCE: Mazda Tribute. Water leak under driver's feet. Had

Generally, water on the passenger side is the A/C drain tube.
Driver side generally means widshield or sun roof seal leak.
Did you wash the Mazda or did it rain prior to puddling?
Before disassembling the windshield seal, test ... with a water hose (Remove floormat and place a towel on newspapers on the driver's side floor).
There is a "smoke" test" that can more accurately find the leak. See if you local AutoZone will rent one (maybe free) to you.

SOURCE: Mazda 323f: Rain water leak into cabin on drivers side, low down.

I am fixing a similar problem on my daughter's 2002 323 Hatchback (Australian BJ model, RH drive) at the moment. Rainwater comes in from above the clutch pedal.

If you look down thru the vents in front of the windshield near the wipers, you will see a spot-welded body seam running across the bottom of that recess. This is where hers is leaking. I originally sealed it with a RTV silicone sealant which fixed the problem but after approximately 6 months it has started leaking again. I am going to remove the silicone and seal over the seam with a brushable bitumen -type sealer.

Remove windscreen wipers and the vent panel for easy access to the area.

I have a 99' Durango in which my serpentine belt

I would not drive the car at all, except to a shop to have the leak fixed, the car checked out good to see if the overheating is stopped, and if the fix also corrected the serpentine belt problem-sounds like a seized pulley and it may be the water pump pulley. Overheating is one of the major causes of early engine failure. Don't put it off, or you'll be overheating from a major repair bill!

ouch. leaking fluid and no signs of leak. check engine oil. if it appears milky, you are leaking into the cylinders. this means you'll need a new head gasket.

Coolant only disappears one way. A leak. But the worst case is when it leaks into the engine. Gives you a chocolate shake for oil. Coolant doesn't dissipate like boiling water because it's sealed and why it overruns into the reservoir. As it cools **** out of the reservoir. If coolant level is lowering and causing overheating it's leaking. Just hope it's not into the motor.

I can smell coolant when heater is on and coolant light is on

Sounds like the heater core is leaking. Fill up the coolant and look under the carpet on the passenger side and see if there is not coolant there. IF it is a really minor leak you may be able to use a radiator fix, but do not buy something cheap and follow the directions. If one application does not seal it up, replace the heater core. It is not worth overheating the motor to try more of the sealer; it can clog the coolant passageways in the motor.

Hope this helps

There's definitely a leak in your coolant system. It could be your reservoir, hoses, rad, waterpump.... you could use a black light and try to trace where the leak is....

Top radiator hose is HOT, radiator is steaming

have u replaced the radiator and hoses? Thermostat could also be stuck open. Water pump could also be your issue. with motor cool and of remove radiator cap(cap may be bad as well) top-off fluid and start car check for fluid flow with flashlight. Water pumps typically leak from what is called a weep hole when the shaft seal fails. Yours will be located under the timing cover (drivers side) running of the timing belt.
Hit me up after u have check on these.
