Screws and other fasteners can usually be found at an auto parts store, or online. Your best bet would be to get a Haynes or Chilton and read the Interior sections to see how it comes apart.

Removal of rear door lift hatch interior plastic panel on a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan to push out dent in metal door from the inside.

The rear door panel is secured to the door using screws and clips. The screws will be in the handle used to close the door and there may be plastic plugs in the handle hiding the screws. Once these screws are removed, the handle will come off. Look for any more screws along the panel. If there are more, they will be visible. Once the screws are removed, pull on the panel to release the clips that secure it to the door. These clips will require some force to release them and will make a snap/pop sound once released. You may have to put a screwdriver/wedge between the panel and door to start the process of releasing the clips

How to remove rear door panel

LOOK FOR ANY POSSIBLE SCREWS TO REMOVE,THEN WITH A PUTTY KNIFE LAY IT BETWEEN THE METAL AND THE PLASTIC (FRAME AT BOTTOM),PUT A FLAT SCREW DRIVER ON THE PUTTY KNIFE JUST UNDER THE PLASTIC AND PRY UP SLOWLY (YOU SHOULD HEAR THE PLASTIC PINS POPPING OUT OF THE METAL)IF YOU GET TO AN AREA THAT WILL NOT WANT TO COME OFF YOU WILL HAVE TO SEARCH FOR MORE HIDDEN SCREWS.A LOT OF TIMES THERE ARE LITTLE BOXES WITH SCREWS BEHIND THE BOX(LIKE BEHIND THE EXIT HANDLE)SOME OF THE PARTS ARE NOT ALWAYS SCREWS BUT CLIPS AS PARTS.YOU CAN ALSO SEARCH YOUTUBE.COM ON HOW TO REMOVE A PANEL FOR MORE HELPFUL INFO

Rear window of my toyota 94 forerunner is off track. Is it something that I could fix myself, and if so could you explain how.

yes. its of medium difficulty. first you will need to open the rear hatch. Locate the screws (probably 4 or more) (some may be under little plastic covers that you can take off with a flat head screwdriver). next when all the screws are removed, you'll need to pry the plastic panel on the frame. (don't have to pull extremely hard, check for screws you might have missed). use a plastic pry bar so you don't make marks. the panel will literally "pop" right off. There might still be some light or switch connectors on the panel so it might be dangling. unclip the connectors and set the plastic panel down. now you can see into the hatch frame where the window is and the window regulator (the rail that the window and motor is on). try finding where its loose and screwing it back on. if you notice anything is broken, its probably the window regulator linkage. You will need to get that replaced (buy a new rear window regulator). before installing the new window regulator, take the motor off the old one and put it on the new regulator while out of the car. then install, screw on the window, plug in the connectors and make sure it works. it sounds complicated but its a lot easier then it sounds. Good Luck! If you don't want to attempt this take it to a local shop, its a pretty inexpensive fix. if you hear the motor running, it probably doesn't need a window motor just the regulator.

How do you replace drives side exeior door handel for 95geoprizm

1) Remove the plug inside the interior armrest and remove phillips screw.
2) Remove armrest and two screws that hold door panel to door frame.
3) Pop the outer cover off the interior door handle.
4) Remove the interior lock knob and remove door panel by popping out tabs connected to door frame and lifting up off of window ledge.
5) Remove the two nuts holding exterior handle in place.
6) Disconnect the L shaped linkage from the handle. The trick to getting the L shaped linkage into the new handle is to feed L shaped metal pole through hole in door where exterior handle was, leaving the lower end of this linkage in its slot.
7) Feed the end of L shaped pole through the plastic 'hinge' in new handle by folding the hinge over and pushing the end of the L through both sides of the plastic hinge at once. slide the lower loop of the plastic hinge down the L shaped pole to secure pole to handle.
8) Place new handle into door and reverse the process to reinstall interior panel.

Hope this helps Tim

Can't get door open, so can't remove panel to fix door open prob

These door panels are held in place to the interior door frame with push-in fasteners which are located around the side and bottom perimeter of the panel. These fasteners are popped out by placing a screw driver or other flat tool between the panel and the door frame. Usually there are screws and/or small bolts which hold the arm rest and door handle portion of the door panel. You need to locate any of these first and remove them. some screws/bolt heads may be hidden by small plastic caps which cover the heads. In some models, there is a piece of molding which is snapped in around the handle or on top of the arm rest. Once the perimeter fasteners are loose and all screws are removed, the panel is lifted up to disengage it from the bottom window frame. Be careful not to move the panel too far away from the door frame until you disconnect all wiring connections on the back side. Those nylon buttons that hold the panel in place sometimes break off when you remove them. They are replaceable(auto parts store).

How to remove a interior door panel for a 2001 ford expedition

Pop the small triangle panel off at the front of the door, by the side mirror and remove the screw. Then remove the red and white lens at the bottom of the door and remove that screw. Lastly pop off the plastic insert by the inside door handle and remove the door hande using a rachet and extension, dont remember the size of bolt. Once that is off the door panel should lift straigt up after that. There are none of the plastic tabs that are secured to the door panel that get inserted to the door frame like other cars.

1996 Ford Bronco door lock actuator

These directions might sound a little goofy. I'm trying to orient your location with front and rear rather then left and right because it depends on which door you are working on. Front is towards front of rig and rear, oh I think you get it.
1. Close window on door. 2. Using a flat screw driver pop off trim under inside door handle. I think there is a groove in the plastic to which the screw driver can be inserted. Remove screw. 3. Using same screw driver pop off trim panel with door lock and window control switches. Start lifting from end located at panel closest to the front of the rig. The panel towards the back end has a pivot point which holds the back of the panel into the arm rest. Dis-connect the two switches from the trim panel. 4. Again, using flat screw driver, pop off the trim pannel located at the upper door/window frame nearest the back of the rig. Remove screw. 5. Lift up the door panel to remove. Be careful the light bulb is attached to the door panel. Rotate light socket 90 degrees and remove. 6. From the rear of the door pull back the platic stick-on barrier. Don't remove the whole thing just pull it leaving about half of it towards the front of the door stuck on. 7. Remove the one 11mm bolt, located towards the bottom of door, which holds the rearwindow guide. Don't remove the two 11mm bolts which hold the horizontal brace. Nothing else needs to be removed, leave all rods and attachments in place. They all attach the the door latch and are not of any further concern.
8. Now the easy part. The actuators and door latches are separate components. The actuator slides onto the door latch via two metal guides located on the door latch. The actuator is held into place with a plastic locking tab. The locking tab is part of the actuator housing. 9. This tab has to be pushed in to release actuator from latch. 10. Find on ouside of door - rear where the latch fingers? (I don't know what else to call them) are located in the notched door frame. At the bottom of the notch is a very narrow opening, just a ****. This **** allows access to the locking tab on the actuator. 11. Orient the screw driver in the end of the **** closest to the interior. Working on a right door, looking at the locking fingers, facing the front of the rig, your screw driver would be inserted at the left side of the ****. Pushing a flat screw driver into the **** will push the locking tab allowing the actuator to slide off the door latch. 12. A flat screw driver or other small pry tool can be inserted between the actuator and the door lock to help slide the actuator off the metal guides. The pry unit can be inserted where the rod from the interior manual door lock stem is attached. Mine had a yellow snap/flip keeper. 13. The actuator slides off from the interior towards the outside door panel. 14. Simple put pressure onto the locking tab with one screw driver and gently pry with the other one and the actuator should slide right off.
15. I picked up an actuator at a u-pull it wrecking yard for five bucks and it worked fine. Dealer wanted $90.00 and auto parts wanted $127.00. When I pulled my actuator from the wrecked rig all door panels and interior where stripped. It took me literally 20 seconds to pull the actuator. 16. To install new unit slide actuator onto door latch rails and let locking tab click into place. You might have to manually move the interior door lock stem up and down until the finger on the actuator lines up with a hole on the plastic part of the interior lock stem.
16. I Want to thank TommyRox in Texas on Ford Truck World and rivguy on automotiveforums.com for their posts.
