Question about 1989 Mazda RX-7

1 Answer

Starting problems my 89 rx7 13b is not starting. it cranks over at normal speed but will not start. a couple weeks ago i noticed the 15a(engine)fuse had burnt out. i replaced it and nothing had changed. the battery is fine and is at full charge. i noid tested the fuel injector wires but recieved nothing. i then tested the main relay, and it checked out fine. i decided to check the sparkplugs and they were extremeley flooded. i am extremely confuesed. i dont understang how the plugs got flooded if the injectors arent going off, and why the injectors arent getting any pulse. fuel pump and pressure all checked out fine.

Its possible that the pressure valve relay is bad, you can try that. I had to replace one last year because it was doing the thing your talking about. I hope this helps. Alvin

Testimonial: "hey thanks for getting back to me. im just having some trroubale finding the 'pressure valve relay'. is there another term for it? i have alldata and the orignial but am not finding a pressure valve realy. im finding information on the pressure regulator but that is about it. another thing is i have fuel pressure. im guessing this connects the fuel rail to the injector itself? sorry and thank you"

SOURCE: 2001 mazda protege will not start

well, with all that you have changed the only two possible things that are left PCM and the ECM....

Do you have an alarm system on this vehicle? If you purchased this car second hand it may have something that is inhibiting the engine from firing. From what you have told us here that would be where I would start looking.

I really hope this is helpfull

My 2005 model Nissan Xtrail cant start but just cranks. i parked it fine

removed the two 'Fuel Pump' fuses from driver side fuse box located underneath the steering wheel. one is 10A (Red) and other is 15A (Blue). Then started the car, car started for couple of seconds before the engine went dead again. put back both the fuses, cranked the engine and it started fine, there was bit of smoke for first few minutes but it all cleared up.

Battery's are draining on a 2008 gmc duramax

Check all the interior lights in the truck, look at the visors which are the single biggest cayuse of the battery drain, look at night. Also Have the batteries tested, a shorted cell will draw them down as well. Never overlook the obvious.

Engine seems to miss at slow excelleration speeds. moderate to high excelleration miss is none existant. In Idaho I replaced the crank sensors 3 weeks ago because engine was shutting down at idle...

When you replace the crank sensors you need to do the crankshaft learn. You have to use a scan tool to do that and I believe it has to be a GM Tech 2 Get some gas treatment and replace the fuel filter. But you do need to get/do the crankshaft learn done

1997 Crown Vic blows radio fuses

The quickest way to find a short circuit is by putting a bulb in place of the fuse. Anytime the time the bulb lights there is a load. And if the load is a shorted wire the brightness of the bulb will give you a hint. So while you're at it, finding a 'short' is a quicky...keep your eyes on the bulb. gotcha!

My ignition fuse keeping blowing

You have a wire rubbing on something metal. Look at the wiring harness in the car and engine compartment. Try moving them around a bit and see if you can get the fuse to blow or not to blow.
