If you can, pull the radio out, blow some compressed air in the sockets, and put it back in. it may just be some dust or crud that got between the wiring harness, and the radio. it happens all the time in GM's.

SOURCE: I have a 1992 lincoln towncar and the odometer doesn't work

If the speedometer itself is currently working fine, it may be that the Odometer and Trip-o-meter gears are broken. Lincolns OnLine have a large database of information regarding Town Cars from all years. This specific link will help you to order and replace the proper gears for your car.

Will the radio not work if the power antenna was replaced with a NON powered antenna

This is defanitly your problem car has amp in trunk factory you have to hook your remote (blue white stripe) up to the power accessory wire wich will only come on when your key is turned back so use a light tester on wires to see which wire is not hot until key is on one power wire will stay on constantly dont use constant it will run the battery dead

I have not been around to drive my 1999 lincoln towncar and now i am and the radio doesn't work anymore does it run from a fuse? and where is it located?

  • The fuse panel is located below and to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal. Check the fuses I have indicated in the diagram below as they all are connected to the radio in some way or another.

  • 18 - 7.5 Amp - Lighting Control Module (LCM), Front Radio Control Unit, Cellular Telephone Transceiver, Electronic Day/Night Mirror, Compass Module
  • 24 - 5 Amp Front Radio Control Unit
  • 33 -15 Amp - Front Radio Control Unit, Digital Compact Disk Changer, Cellular Telephone Transceiver.

  • The power distribution box is located in the engine compartment. Check the #19 - 30 Amp in there as well. This powers the Subwoofer and I suspect the amp as well.

Hello Amlatham312,

In lieu of the FACTORY WORKSHOP MANUALS..
(which I highly recommend)... you can Register and
use BBB Industries FREE wiring diagrams and TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS (TSBs)...
BBB Industries Premium Alternators Starters Power Steering Products

I believe you will find VERY LITTLE in common with the
WINDOWS & rear mount CD player...

Before I spent a lot of time chasing around individual
fuse circuits... Clean & service your main GROUND
and Battery Cables...

Base no concerns on the DRIVER's window
switch...
It is the most heavily used/abused switch
on EVERY Vehicle... everywhere:

The antenna didnt came out so i cant hear the radio,i check the fuses already but everything looks good no bad fuses

Can you hear the antenna motor working when you turn on the radio? If you can but the mast (antenna) does not come up it means you need a new mast. The plastic cable that makes the mast go up is broken. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy a whole new power antenna assembly, which includes everything.

1994 lincoln power antenna does not go up or down on its own

if the plastic toothed cable is broken. on "some" model cars I have seen where you can buy just the antenna and not the antenna motor too. if you buy only the replacement antenna it should come with the plastic cable attached to it. the cable will have teeth on it. I have on an old volvo I had once performed the following: I with the old antenna removed from the motor section along with the broken section of the plastic cable, turn on the radio. then feed the new antenna down into the hole and hold it steady. turn the radio off and then it will start to wind the cable down into the motor while pulling the antenna down. thats it and it worked perfect from then on. I hope this helps. if it works for your model please rank this answer... thanks, good luck
