2007 saturn outlook code U2100

Do you know what a serial data network is ? U codes are problems associated the data buss . A module isn't communicating or the buss wiring is shorted etc.....
Data Link Communications Description and Operation

Do you know what an how many modules are on your vehicle ?

The communication among control modules is performed primarily through the GMLAN high speed serial data circuit and the GMLAN low speed serial data circuits. The modules that need real time communication are attached to the high speed GMLAN network. The body control module (BCM) is the serial data gateway between the networks. The purpose of the gateway is to translate serial data messages between the GMLAN high speed buss and the GMLAN low speed buss. The controller area network (CAN) is another serial data communication network used on this vehicle which is dedicated to the electronic brake control module (EBCM) subsystem for stabilization. Below are more detailed descriptions of the individual networks. The gateway will interact with each network according to that network's transmission protocol. Refer to Body Control System Description and Operation for more information about the gateway.

Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .

DTC U2100 00: Controller Area Network (CAN) Bus Communication
The GMLAN serial data circuits are controller area network (CAN) serial data buses used to communicate information between the control modules. Typical data transmission speeds must be high enough to ensure that a required real-time response is maintained. On this vehicle there are 2 totally different types of GMLAN serial data circuits, the high speed 2-wire circuit and low speed single wire circuit. Refer to Data Link Communications Description and Operation for the complete description of these buses. The GMLAN serial data circuits also communicate directly to the DLC connector. Messages are interpreted by the externally connected CANdi module which acts as a transceiver for the scan tool.
Modules connected to the GMLAN serial data circuits monitor communications during normal vehicle operation, where operation information is exchanged among the modules. All the modules on the GMLAN networks, maintain a transmit error counter (TEC) and a receive error counter (REC). The counter values increase with detected errors and will decrease with error-free messages. If the TEC value exceeds 255, the controller removes itself from the network and DTC U2100 will result.

98 Oldsmobile Aurora There's a on my Dash it says information center and has the oil fuel speed all that it says low oil is there any way anybody knows how to reset that

Check your engine oil using the oil dipstick located on the engine - you need to add oil to the fill line as shown on the dipstick. You should have the oil replaced regularly (every 3-6 months) and keep your eye on the level if the engine is leaking oil underneath or burning a lot of it.

How do I reset anti theft on2000 ford explorer

The passive vehicle protection system will be activated and will disable the vehicle from starting if there is a:
  • damaged encoded key.
  • unprogrammed key.
  • non-encoded key (key has no electronics).
  • wiring concern.
  • transceiver concern.
  • PCM concern.
  • module communications network concern.
Reset ? IF your anti-theft system light is flashing when trying to start your vehicle , an the engine doesn't crank , turn , or nothing happens when you turn key , then your anti theft system is at fault ! An trying to reset will not work ,you need to have it checked DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ,then fixed ! I suggest you have it towed to the dealer or a ASE certified repair shop !
PATS uses the powertrain control module (PCM) to enable or disable the engine. The PATS module communicates with the PCM over the SCP communication network in order to enable engine operation. The PATS module and the PCM use sophisticated messages in order to prevent a theft. The PATS and the PCM share security data when first installed together, making them a matched pair. After this security data sharing, these modules will not function in other vehicles. The PCM shared security ID is remembered even if the battery is disconnected. The PATS module also stores the vehicle's key identification code, even if the battery is disconnected. There are special diagnostic repair procedures outlined in this workshop manual that may be carried out if either the PATS module or the PCM needs replacement.

Door chime constantly goes off while car is in drive or reverse and shuts off in park and neutral??

My first suspicion would be that the door switch has failed. It is most likely the drivers door since it is usually used most often.
In order to remove it you should disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, then pull out the switch and test it.

Cobalt 2009. Traction Control ligh ON Possibles solutions, Please

Traction Control System Indicator
TRAC OFF The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the TRAC OFF indicator when the following occurs:
?€¢
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) inhibits the traction control system due to a malfunction in the traction control system. The IPC receives a serial data message from the EBCM requesting illumination.

?€¢
The body control module (BCM) detects that the traction control switch has been pressed (signal circuit is low). The BCM sends a serial data message to the EBCM in order to disable traction control. The IPC receives a serial data message from the BCM requesting illumination. The BCM sends a serial data message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
you need to have the ( EBCM ) electronic brake control module checked fro codes !

Service 4wd bad accelerator

Hi there:
The FDCM has a code, and for me to be able to correctly diagnose your vehicle..You will need to get that code retrieved by a scantool.\.

The service 4WD indicator gives an indication to the vehicle operator when the Final Drive Control Module (FDCM) has recorded a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) for an electronic transfer case circuit or component malfunction. This indicator is controlled by the instrument cluster logic circuit based upon cluster programming and electronic messages received by the cluster from the FDCM over the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus.

The service 4WD indicator function of the reconfigurable dot matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display unit is completely controlled by the instrument cluster logic circuit, and that logic will only allow this indicator to operate when the instrument cluster receives a battery current input on the fused ignition switch output (run-start) circuit. Therefore, the OLED service 4WD indication will always be OFF when the ignition switch is in any position except ON or START. The instrument cluster will turn ON the service 4WD indicator for the following reasons:

Service 4WD Indicator Lamp-On Message - Each time the cluster receives an electronic service 4WD indicator lamp-ON message from the FDCM, the service 4WD indicator will be illuminated. The indicator remains illuminated for about five seconds, until the cluster receives a lamp-OFF message from the FDCM, until the cluster arbitrator logic determines that another display request has priority, or until the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position, whichever occurs first.

The FDCM continually monitors the electronic transfer case control circuits and transfer case shift motor/mode sensor assembly to determine the condition of the system. The FDCM then sends the proper lamp-ON or lamp-OFF message to the instrument cluster, also known as the Cab Compartment Node (CCN).

For proper diagnosis of the FDCM, the CCN, the CAN data bus or the electronic communication related to service 4WD indicator operation a diagnostic scan tool is required. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic information.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Code u0008 high speed can communication bus (-) high

U codes are reserved for future systems and may be proprietary to the manufacturer.

The CAN Bus allows 12 Volts, or other potential, power to be distributed around the vehicle (or system) on a single power rail with local actuators connecting the power to each application as needed. Vehicle functions such as temperatures , alarms or the positions of switches are monitored by sensors connected to the bus and the controller can direct the actuators to initiate the appropriate response as required.

Two variants are available to suit different transmission rates. A high speed (1 MBaud) bus is used for rapid control devices for operations such as engine management and vehicle stability and motion control. For simple switching and control of functions such as lighting, windows, mirror adjustment and instrument displays a low speed (100 KBaud) bus is used.

The CAN bus was designed to provide secure communications in the very harsh operating environments with high levels of electrical noise which are found in automotive systems.

The communications protocol defines the following:

  • Method of addressing the devices connected to the bus
  • Data word format (The message)
  • Priority setting
  • Transmission sequence
  • Control signals
  • Error detection
  • Error handling or correction
  • Transmission speed

The message data, the control signals and the error correction are contained in a data frames of equal length which are transmitted sequentially over the transmission channel.

Definitively, you need visit the dealer to know excalty is you have any problem with the software in your modules os any loss harnesses or wires there.

Additional details, onyl with the manufactured.

Hope this helps.
