Check your relays, Kias are very picky about that and only use Kia relays.

SOURCE: 2004 Kia Optima no start after timing belt, crank, cam sensor replacement

did you use aftermarket crank sensor? if so that might be your problem. dealer has several different ones, by providing vin number, but there is only one after market for all optimas 01-05. try to connect thick pink wire and thick orange wire together on the ignition failure sensor. you might have the same problem as me. good luck.

SOURCE: 2002 Kia Sportage will not start.

p0560 is system voltage problem. open or short between the battery positive and the ecm.CHECK ALL FUSES. dosnt matter what they are labeled under dash and under hood replace any that are bad and retry to start. no start then check voltage to ecm grounds to. i dont have a wireing diagram to give you but for a small fee or free the dealer can make you a copy.make sure all the wires that go to battery terminals are not corroded and are making good contact [verified with volt meter]. if after all checks ok then replace ecm. as a side note i havent had to change one ever.

No fire from coil

It might be this sensor I can't think of the name of it but it is located by the thermostat. it is held on with 2 10mm bolts and has a connector similar to the mass sensor on it. This sensor controls spark.

93 Jeep Cherokee has very weak spark from the coil and will not start

You are correct in your understanding. If the coil has at least 12 volts and gets a ground signal from the computer, the coil should fire. The coil actually sparks when the ground is removed.
The cam and crank sensors tell the computer when the cylinders are at top dead center which also opens the injectors.
Have you checked to see if you have battery voltage at the coil, and tried another coil ?

1997 dodge ram won't start. My fuel pump does not run and coil won't spark. Iv'e checked fuses and relays and they look fine. Could a bad fuel pump cause the asd to kill power to the coil?

First check any ignition/fuel related fuses. Check to make sure you have 12 volts coming into the pump and coil. If nothing to the fuel pump replace the fuel pump relay - if you do have power to the fuel pump then replace the pump. If nothing is coming to the coil it is either an ignition relay or a wiring issue. If you have 12 volts to the coil but no spark then replace the coil.
Also the fuel pump/relay would not kill the coil.

Cranks over but does not start has 99,000 miles,

Spray some starting fluid in the intake while hold the throttle down. If it starts now then you want to check the fuel pump and filter. Make sure you are getting 12 volts when the key is in the on position. You should also hear a humming sound when you turn the key on. If you have 12 volts at the pump and no humming sound, replace the pump and filter.

If it doesn't start with the starting fluid, then you need to check the plugs. wires and coil pack. You can do this with a test light and probing just before each item.
If it still doesn't start than it is either timing related or a blown head gasket.
