From information given, it could be anything; however I think perhaps if you have the tires and wheels checked you will probably find a solution. In my area, tire shops will check this for you, free. If this does not help, please give additional information.

Why does a 2006 Ford Fusion have a strong vibration when stopped and in Drive?


If there are no check engine lights could be a bad motor mount or two. Would have them checked. Try putting car in neutral and see if vibration disapates a little.

Yes that will it will also cause the rear shaft seal to leak. This is common on Fords. You should do it or you will leak transmission fluid

When i accelerate on my 2004 ford explorer the car vibrate, the more i accelerate the vibration increase. This is not comfortable driving with this vibration. please help.


check for play in the driveline universal joints. If there is play, replace joint. Let us know if you need DIY instructions.

You will have to replace ALL the motor and tranny mounts in a specific order.
