There is a link bar under the cowl (plastics under wipers) the bar has plastic sockets on each end that connects the left side(where the motor connects) to the right, so...when the left wiper moves it transfers the motion to the right

SOURCE: Wiper arm not moving

Check the splines on the post where the wiper are mounts and make sure they are not rounded off. If they are intatct, remove the cowl (sheetmetal between the hood and windshield) and check the mechanical linkages that connect the wiper arms together

SOURCE: 2002 Chevy Tahoe-Drivers Side windshield wiper not working

There is a bar that connects both your windshield wipers together check that to see if it is broke or has come unscrewed. Should be underneath the hood upagainst the firewall.

SOURCE: 2006 hhr passenger side windshield wiper not moving

First remove the complete passenger side wiper check and make sure splines on wiper are not stripped. If this is not the problem It could be a linkage bar from the wiper motor to the wiper off or disconected. Since both wipers share the same motor if one works the other should. Check this by removing both wipers and then "Cawl" (little black piece between the hood and windshield underneath the wipers) Underneath the cawl you should be able to see the windshield wiper motor, and linkage bar to both of the wipers. See if the bar is disconected from the passenger side. If it is than reconnect it. These are the only two possible scenarios.

You mean wiper arm ? Probably broken wiper arm linkage bushing you can't see , under the cowling . Can you move the passenger wiper arm up an down without much effort ? An not the drivers side ? To see it or get at it you would need to pull wiper arms off an take cowling off to get at it . Drivers side wiper quit working on 2007 hhr

Usually means the linkage between the arm and the motor has failed. Or the arm has become loose on the post.

2009 chevy hhr--The passenger side windshield wiper control arm popped apart. Can it just be squeezed together, or do I need to replace the little "ball and socket".

The rubber gets hard and makes noise. Wash the rubber blades in vinegar, that's supposed to soften the rubber.Hope this helps.

2009 Touareg passenger side windshield wiper arm does not move but driver side does

sounds like the connecting rod between both wiper arms either broke or one of the keepers popped off under the connector for that arm..since the wiper system IS NOT designed to wisk snow off the window once accumulated, this can an does happen.. even seen motors get burned out doing this..cleaning the window first will save this issue and the equiptment. need to acess this arm<take off the vented peice below the windshield and everything should be visible there..repost findings

Passenger side wiper does not work, but the driver side works fine. i think it broke somehow when i turned on the wipers while there was ice on the windsheild. the driver's side worked, but the ice...

When you tried to move the wiper with the ice it probably broke an inner componette and connecting rodes from motor. You'll haft to inspect the rodes and motor to know what damage is done but it you can move the wiper easily by hand it's definitly broke. If it is real hard and dont want to move it might be jammed and you might be able to move it alittle to move it back into place.

Only the driver side wiper works the passanger side does not move

It sounds like the connecting arm that connects to both the driver and passenger wiper has disengaged on the passenger side. Pop the hood and look under the trim by the firewall and you may be able to see the wiper assembly. If not, then you'll need to remove the trim to get to it
