You need to get the fault codes out of the engine control module to help with this one, the favourites are. 1 lambda sensors, 2 catalyst, 3 water in engine control module located rh lower A post due to water ingress, would be good if you monitor live data with diagnostic equipment. could also be mass air flow sensor or fuel pressure

go to autozone and have them look and the check engine light and that will help you figure it out. they should also give you a piece of paper that will tell you what is wrong take that to an auto mechanic and ask his opinion

My 92 Honda won't pass emissions at the higher RPM

Sell the car to somebody in FL, no inspection. The state realized it was a total waste of money. Anyway, it probably is the cat, you have 3 or 4 O2 sensors, maybe more. The cat is shot, Just take out the cat, park the car in the street, Call the police in the morning and tell them somebody stole your cat. happens all the time, they go right down the road and cut out 100 cats a night, for $50 each, I don't blame them. The insurance co will buy you a new one if you have the right coverage. If not, you will have to buy a new one, because you can't use an old one. But you can sell the old one on ebay for $50. They are expensive to buy. Hope this helps.

Ford failed MOT on High CO emission

High CO usualy means the O2 sensors are not reading properly. Take it to a parts store that can read codes, I know Auto Zone does in my area. If it is the O2 sensor it is an easy fix but the sensors run about $50.00 each.
