Bypass ignition kill switch in my 2000 volkswagen beetle

My car wont start and I need to bypass the ignition kill switch

SOURCE: 2000 Volkswagen Beetle starting problems due to anti theft system

you need to check the drivers door lock unit. this is a more common problem where the switch fails and the anti-theft system doesn't get disarmed by the door unlocking

When the car is locked, unlock it from the passenger side door. Then try starting the car.

SOURCE: 1990 volkswagen jetta burns out starters

they had a problem with the ground for the starter relay. its located under the drivers kick panel. you have to locate the relay and follow the ground back. i had the same issue. also you need to do a voltage drop test on the positive cable and check the resistance on the engine ground located on the bell housing

SOURCE: Location of the fan relay switch in 2000 Volkswagen Beetle

the fan relay switch is under the drivers side dash, you need to remove panel, then slide upside down to view relay switches, fan relay is in first row next to large relay second over.

Checked all fuses and relays on 2000 beetle still do not have running lights or wipers or turn signals etc. etc.


You need a voltmeter and must troubleshoot the problem by testing for voltage from the fuse block to the components that don't work
