SOURCE: 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee - problem with power windows/locks

This seems to be the affects of a bad dinamo charging your battery . If you take a appart the dinamo you should fine a part called in mechanic terms "the bones" they look like 2 black magnets with a wire coming out of them . They are not expencive and you should not change your dinamo untill you try this first a car dinamo is very expencive .

SOURCE: How to replace headlights on 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

One long bolt at the top - requires a 7mm socket to remove the bolt. The light housing will pry out with a screw driver. There are three ball and socket type connectors that hold the housing in and I just pryed off the plastic housing carefully and "balls" pop out of the sockets. Finally, I was replacing the faded plastic housing and it came with a new wiring harness. It's impossible to reach the connector to use the new wiring harness that comes with the new plastic light housing. So just use the existing wiring harness with the new light assembly.

SOURCE: 2000 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 liter engine timing belt replacement

If you have the same pulley arrangement that most 4.0 engines have that pulley is an idler not a tensioner. Your power steering pump has a pivot bolt, and a slide under the pump. You adjust belt tension using the pump.

Windows don't come down on a 2000 jeep cherokee

NO windows are working ?
If its the front windows , then pull up further when ordering from the drive thru ...
or you can check the fuses and see that they are good for the power windows.

Check the wiring harness for a loose connection. This is a common cause for Jeep window and lock problems.

None of my power windows work on my jeep grand

It happened to me yesterday, I was worried because all the fuses were right.

Just unplug the hose from the driver's door, it has many color cables inside, pull out the thick black one, it might be broken. I cut with a knife that hose so I was able to see inside and repair the borken cable.

I put another cable to fix it, it took me about five minutes, no more.

Repair costs: $ 3.00 of black silicon sealer for the hose.

Most surely there is a fuse for the windows although it may be combined with other circuits too (i.e. 'Accessories' is common), or a main relay that supplies power to all switches.
