SOURCE: Radiator fan problem

Call up the dealer and ask what commands the fans to come on once the car reaches operating temp, on alot of imports, there is a fan control box of some sort that actually sends the sig to the fans to come on.

If it's the temp sensor and the computer tells the fans to come on you could be looking at a faulty computer.

This would deffinetly be worth taking to the dealer to diagnose so that you don't keep wasting your time and money chasing a ghost.

Rick, u will need to take your car to get serviced. If your ac is not working properly it might be something inside that needs to be looked at. You might need to replace your heater box.

105 psi? If so that is way to hi...especially for a mid-sized car. You ideally want you pressure to be between 40-50 psi. If you pressure is that hi you might have blown the pressure valve on you compressor, which is not a part that is sold seperately. You should take your car to your local Pep Boys and have them run a A/C diagnostic which runs around $45 to give you an better idea. If you don't know what you're doinf the A/C system is not something you want to play a guessing game with. Especially since it's illegal to work on it without the proper tools and licenses.

was system evacuate by pumping it down using vacuum pump to remove all moisture out of the system.most time of the time when i work on AC system you have pump it down from 30 minutes to a hour.pump it until low pressure gauge read 30 hgs in the green area.i shut down vacuum pump close off manifold gauge valves see if low pressure side reading stay at 30 hgs or drop if gauge needle stop dropping have leak in the AC system.if all is good you have temperature air door problems.air door not opening all cool air to circulate through AC vents.

speed up engine with air on and see if compressor turns off. if it does then it is low pressure. if it has electric radiator fans they should be on when the ac is on. if they dont work then it will make the pressure higher

HIGH PRESSURE CUTOFF SWITCH LOCATED ON AC COMPRESSOR DISCHARGE LINE LEADING TO THE CONDENSOR.THE HIGH PRESSURE CUTOFF SWITCH WILL CUT OFF THE AC COMPRESSOR IF SYSTEM PRESSURE RISES TO HIGH CAUSED BY RESTRICTION IN THE REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT OR OVERHEATED CONDENSOR.MAKE SURE COOLING FAN IS RUNNING WHEN THE AC SWITCH IS ON.THE COOLING FAN KEEP CONDENSOR COOL, IF COOLING FAN DONT RUN.YOUR AC WILL STOP BLOWING COLD AIR.HAVE THE REFRIGERANT SYSTEM CHECK OUT.MAKE SURE YOUR LOW SIDE PRESSURE IS 10 - 37 PSI. THE HIGH SIDE PRESSURE SHOULD BE 112 - 210 PSI. CHECK THE AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH FUSE AND RELAY.

AC does not blow cool air. They put a new compressor in, but that did not fix problem. Now they say it is the condensor. I don't think they know.

did 'they' check the pressures on the low and high side after the compressor replacement? low pressure with a full charge on the low side would indicate a blockage. unless you had massive compressor failure (metal shavings in the lines) then most likely the condenser is O.K. the most common problem is the expansion valve sticks and doesn't allow the refrigerant to circulate fast enough to cool.

How do I reset the ac compressor in my 07 volk jetta 2.5

There is no reset, check the fuses, if the compressor is not working ,it may be due to low freon in the system, there are switches that shut compressor down when freon is low, this avoids compressor damage. the first thing to do is check to make sure the system has a full charge, if its low then recharge to correct amount and add dye this is dangerous system under high preasure, let a ac tech check the system for you. hope this helps.

A/c blowes hot air I think it is the high pressure switch. Compressor sounds like it works. what could cause a/c to blow hot air?

If the high preasure switch was bad two thing could happen it would shut domne the compressor or not shut it down when needed, the first thing is to check the preasure readings to see if theres enough freon in the system and then this will also show how good the compressor is working, the system may be low due to a leak, of all the newer freestyles i worked on had a leak or the blend door actuator went bad anf did not open and close the heat door when commanded.so there are a few thing to check, see if the compressor clutch is turning when on and then see if condensation drips out then we will know if the ac system is working and the problem is the dooe motor.hope this helps.

Ac pump turns on and off constantly. checked pressure of system and ok pressure when pump is off then loss of pressure when on. no cold air at all.

that is a low refrigerant sign you need to charge the system.. the compressor shuts off because the low preasure shutdown switch is triggerd when the compressor starts to move the refrigerant to the high side and shuts off thats why the preasure drops when the compressor clutch engages...

hope this helps.

A/c issue

Could be a couple things - one, if the fan switch for the AC condenser is not working, it'll keep the AC from kicking on, but that's usually seen by the compressor not coming on. When you activate the AC, do your RPM drop down at all? It should. If it does, the compressor is kicking on and you probably have a problem with the expansion valve, which is what flash chills the air. The car is pumping freon around but it's not cooling enough to cool the car. That's likely an expansion valve problem.

If you turn it on and the revs don't dip down momentarily, the compressor isn't coming on, and it could be the fan switch underhood or the AC relay.

1994 Hyundai Excel Air conditioning RADIATOR´S FAN works always very fast

this not really a problem as the fan speed is controlled by the high preasure switch in the ac system the hotter it is outside the higher the preassure will be in the system as hot as its been the preasure is high already when the compressor cycles it pulls suction on one side and outputs high preasure on the other the fans cool the condenser the higher the ambient temp the faster they go so all is fine...
