SOURCE: automatic transmission wont catch into any gear

You sould have been moore frequent on your transmission fluid changes, and you shouldn't have taken it to Jiffy Lube either. Your best bet is to drain and fill the trans fluid run it shift gears. Drain and fill again. Do this 3 times. Yeah the transmission fluid is expensive. on the last drain and fill you want to get a bottle of LUBE GUARD from NAPA or who ever sells it. put the whole 10oz bottle in. Shift Rev, 1, 2, 3, D. Neutral Rev D. If that don't work then you have bad seals.

probably internal ,especially if your car has done a lot of miles/klms,you may need to look further, double check fluid level, shift from rev to drive slowly but still think trans specialist needs to look....hate to say it

2003 Subaru outback h6 3.0. Starts fine, when I shift into reverse or drive I get a loud grinding noise

Is your 2003 Subaru Outback automatic or manual transmission?
If it is automatic, then your transmission sounds like it's malfunctioning into the reverse gear as it is not aligning properly.
If it is manual, then your transmission sounds like it may have a bad clutch or bad reverse gear.
Either solution is not cheap. Good luck.

I have a 91 honda accord with an automatic trans. & when i shift into reverse it refuses to engage & makes a high pitch gear slipping grinding sound ! NOT GOOD ! ,I just replaced the transmission con

Definitely not good. The transmission is slipping internally due to worn gears and clutch packs. It will have to come out for rebuilding, IMO. Have a transmission shop check it out.
Good luck.

Transmission will not shift into overdrive on a 2003 4.7L Jeep

This will not repair the problem but it will cause your OD to shift. Caution: you need a long stretch of highway and sparse traffic.
After trying everything I could think of, I noticed that when the automatic locks failed to engage (at around 15mph) that's when the transmission would not shift into OD. So, now when the locks don't lock and the transmission doesn't shift to OD, I put the transmission in neutral and turn off the ignition and let it coast to a slow speed (see above caution). When I start the engine again and put the transmission back into drive, the locks engage and so does the OD. Works for me. I'm currently doing research on what causes the locks to engage automatically. I'm thinking it will be a vacum or a switch. BTW, mannually engaging the locks will not work. Good luck. Hope it works for you.

Just check the transmission oil levels first, if they are low this will stop it from engaging into gear.

The reverse gears are not working.if you put the reverse gears it will accelerate infront instead.what do i do?

It sounds like the reverse band broke. Typically with automatic transmission when you put the transmission in reverse a couple things happen. Usually, the forward clutch engages and the reverse band engages holding the reverse drum from turning, which causes the planetery gears to make the vehicle move backwards. If the band breaks there is nothing told hold that drum from turning and you have a forward gear. The bad news is the trany is going to have to come out to be repaired and usually the reverse drum is one of the first things to go into the trany, so it has to be completely disassembled. Take it to a transmission shop have them check it, hopefully it's something simpler.
