Re move door panel, might have to start with window switches. The whole cluster comes out, unplug them. Any other stuff I.e. mirror switch. Some where by the door handle is self should be some plastic covers, behind them are screws. Remove those and gently lift up. Remove plastic wind paper.and you should see inside the door.Window switches may need to be plugged back in to assest.

SOURCE: Can somebody tell me how to replace the window

You might want to take it to a glass shop. You have to take off the inside door panel and find all the screws to do this. Then if it is the drivers door you have to remove any electric switches to remove this panel. Then remove old regulator from motor and put in the new parts. I usually use a piece of wood and a clamp to keep the glass from falling. A glass shop can do it within an hour and you don't have to chase parts.

SOURCE: My 01 Olds Aurora, had

Your asking for someone to guess
Is that your question?

All alternators have a regulator inside them
Been that way for 40 years in most cases

You replaced,as you personally or paid someone?

Was anything tested & how?

Parts never get replaced on any vehicle, without testing
Why would they

In some cases it could be the ignition switch or any
number of things

The answer lies in a wiring diagrams
You have to know the circuits involved in order
to test.

That word again. Test Yes you want to find out if you have a
problem & what it is

I have a 01 olds aurora 4.0 I replace the alternator now I have a smell from my battery why?

Possibly you are over-charging the battery. You will need to check the battery voltage with the car running - you should get 13.7v to 15.1v. Anything above 15.1v means the regulator is bad and you are overcharging.

01 olds aurora 4.0 low coolant light on. Where is the sensor located?

The coolant level sensor is inside the coolant bottle. It is not replaceable separately. You will have to replace the reservoir to replace the sensor.

2001 olds aurora 4dr electric windows down wont go up

If you handy, you most likely can repair this yourself. I have had this happen on two of my Auroras. The window regulators have a nylon part that retains the cable assembly. This part gets brittle as the car ages (really under designed) and the cable end pulls through it.

I have been able to modify the retainer by removing the nylon cover and slicing a little notch to hold the end of the cable. Need a picture here to really show how it's done. In any case, a couple of hour labor and it's fixed for free.

Pcv

I too have an '03 Aurora 4.0 and searched everywhere trying to find the PCV. There don't appear to be any on the '03 or '02 4.0L. After searching the GM OEM parts site I found PCVs listed only for the '01 4.0L and none for '02 - '03 4.0. However, they do list them for the 3.5L '01 - '02. Hope this helps.
