It reads from the abs. and the abs read from the wheels but speedo only reads from the pass side wheel sensor.

does it have over 200,000 if so and you can get to the wp when its cold try to move the bearing/shaft impeller also check t-stat and heater hose look for evidence of of poor gasket install and does the pump make any noise? mine needed a timing belt at 180 and a water pump to replace stock pump at 229 if you need a pump get a new not re man

I'd wager that the fuse that controls the gauges is shot, or one of the internal connectors got unplugged (Fuse sounds more likely). Radio, Lights, and Turn Lamps are usually on seperate circuits.

My 1995 Subaru Legacy (high miles, over 200,000) lurches forward and back when I try to accelerate from ~65 mph to a higher speed. This appears to coincide with going above 3,000 rpm. The tach also goes up...


You will need a computer to accurately read the signals you are getting from the sensors in the engine bay, but my guess is that the MAF sensor may be acting up.

Fuel level Gage broke


Most likely you will need to replace the fuel pump.

the rpm gage dont go the the trans its hooks up the the motor so your trans dont have anything to do with the rpms

My rpm gage is not working, my speedometer is not working, my gas gage is not working, and my oil gage is not working, and my temperature gage is not working pretty much when i start up my car and drive it...

Does any body know why my speed gage and rpm gage doesn't work on my 2001 dodge caravan


mine stoped working and i had to do a cluster diagnostic by pushing and holding the milege reset button untill the diagnostic test starts this might solve your problem

get mechanic to check and change offending part as experience is required to do it,just check the pipes leading to it in case theyre loose
