Its about the size of a softball, but square and has 4 spark plug wires on it for each side of a V-8 engine. It will be mounted on the front of each engine head.

Go online, enter "1998 Ford F150 coil-pac" and some parts site will show a photo.

The engine turns over like normal but doesnt fire it is geting fuel cheked fuese all good

First i would check coil pac and see if fire is coming from it, This will not put fire to your plugs, If your auto does not have a coil pac you will need to check your distrubtor cap and your rotor bug, Best of luck.

No spark #4 cylinder replaced coil pack and plug still no spark where should i go next ford 2001 v10 motor

Hello there:
if you have replaced the coil pac you may want to remove it again and make sure there is no moisture or corrosion then if and still have nothing check the crank sensor and the ignition module i just replaced mine after several weeks of troubleshooting and now it is fine
and finally and hopefully this is not your problem is the ecu or electronic controle unit this is the first line of the ignition system and the most important it tells the coil pac to fire and tells which one to fire and when this can have part of it be bad and still have other coil pacs to fire ok

Still running rough after plugs and wires.

if the other coils are functioning, then voltage to the coil pack is ok. removing the spark plug wire from the suspected bad coil with no change in engine performance is a reliable procedure to check for a bad coil.

My wife bought a 2005 citroen xsara picasso second hand. The engine light keeps lighting up. The dealer's macanic said it was one of the coil pacs that were faulty. As this was only an intermediate problem...

My Picasso has just developed the same problem today - to me it feels like a problem with fuel delivery, so she's going to the doctor tomorrow and I'll let you know what the diagnosis is.

I am changing the spark plugs and wanted to know where are they located.

There are individual coil pacs bolted to the valve covers with either 8mm or 10mm bolts. unplug the connector and remove the coil pac. It is located under that coil. THis is called direct ingnition.

hope this helped.

1987 Cavalier keeps stalling and i have a difficult time starting

The stalling out part makes me want to say you have a bad Torque Converter Clutch lock up solenoid. ( TCC ) They are notorious for that.
A quick and dirty fix is to simply unplug them. It wont really harm anything unplugging it but unplugging it will make the car run a tad bit warmer and your gas mileage will suffer by about 10 mpg.
( I had to do the same thing last summer )

The no spark makes me want to say check the coil pac, ignition module under the coil pac, and the crank position sensor under the coil pac / ignition module assembly which is mounted in the block. All are located centrally on the rear of the engine under the intake manifold. You will likely need to reach them from under neath.
