Oil pump, low rpms.

How long do you turn it over without oil?

What I notice is that when I manually turn the pulley the oil does come up I let it idle for a few seconds to see if the oil might come up but nothing even the timing chain is dry

But the pump requires more rpms then just turning the pulley. Most cars oil pressure starts to drop at 1000 rpms. It goes down hill from there.

The other day my oil light came on in my seat and wouldnt come off i changed the oil and it still didnt go off and now its makin a bangin noise and will not start i was told it might be the compression and...

it is a compression problem for sure
the banging noise show that you have a major internal engine damage could be piston , connecting rod (probably) or valves and valve train
never try to turn your car on again you will increase the losses
i hope my answer was useful sir
by the way check your engine cam timing belt if its not in place then you have a damaged valve and/or piston

CAR STALLED. DISCOVERED TIMING BELT HAD BROKEN. REPLACED BELT. STILL WILL NOT START BUT WILL TURN OVER

It sounds like the timing is still off, which will not allow it to start, or you have a faulty cam, or crank sensor.

When a timing belt breaks engine components tend to all come together doing alot of damage. valves bend and pistons get damaged. this usually means rebuilding the engine.Valves heads and pistons.

2003 V6 Accord engine failed

If the cam jumped a few teeth the pistons would likely hit the valves. You could have holes in 4and 5 pistons or broken rings

1994 s10 truck has spark and fuel but will not start This all happened suddenly no warning signs

Hi, An engine that has fuel and spark, no serious vacuum leaks and cranks normally should start. The problem is compression 57f07a7.jpg If it is an overhead cam engine with a rubber timing belt, a broken timing belt a35cd82.jpg would be the most likely cause especially if the engine has a lot of miles on it. Most OEMs recommend replacing the OHC timing belt every 60,000 miles for preventative maintenance, but many belts are never changed. Eventually they break, and when they do the engine stops dead in its tracks. And in engines that lack sufficient valve-to-piston clearance as many import engines and some domestic engines do, it also causes extensive damage (bent valves and valvetrain components & sometimes cracked pistons). Overhead cams can also bind and break if the head warps due to severe overheating, or the cam bearings are starved for lubrication. A cam seizure may occur during a subzero cold start if the oil in the crankcase is too thick and is slow to reach the cam (a good reason for using 5W-20 or 5W-30 for winter driving). High rpm cam failure can occur if the oil level is low or the oil is long overdue for a change. With high mileage pushrod engines, the timing chain may have broken or slipped. Either type of problem can be diagnosed by doing a compression check and/or removing a valve cover and watching for valve movement when the engine is cranked. A blown head gasket 1e00f0b.gifmay prevent an engine from starting if the engine is a four cylinder with two dead cylinders. But most six or eight cylinder engines will sputter to life and run roughly even with a blown gasket. The gasket can, however, allow coolant to leak into the cylinder and hydrolock the engine.
Take care

I got a 99 chevy suburban that started knocking hard so i pulled the oil pan the pump is worn out and there are metal shavings n the oil how do get the rods out through the pan there is a shield in my way

your goign to have to rebuild the engine, if there is metal flake in the oil it has taken the cam rings and rod bearings and pistons, you can get a rebuild kit from www.jcwhitney for $265.00 for engine kit with bearings new pump new lifters cam piston rings and all other parts you will be needed, you will have to bore out engine and replace cam bearings and lifters.

Engine knock hard over 2500 rpm

Does the oil light come on or the knock occur during the engine warm up after a cold start?
There could be a couple of problems causing the issue. You could have an oil pressure pump or pump pressure regulator sticking. I would have a mechanical oil pressure gauge installed and verify oil pressure at idle and 2500 rpms to make sure oil pressure is in normal ranges.
You could also have excessive piston rod bearing, crankshaft bearing or cam shaft bearing wear that will cause oil pressure to drop too low to prevent the rod knock your hearing at 2500 rpm.
You said a knock and not a ticking noise,so I don't believe a lifter is the issue at 2500 rpm.
Start with the oil pressure check and go from there.
Let me know.
