Many times the thermostat switch can be the culprit or a separate fusebox. Does your fusebox list the cooling fan as a specific fuse? I believe there is a relay on the side of the fan for this model which is most likely the issue.

After changing the battery in our 02 PT Cruiser, the air bag warning light came on and won't go off along with the power windows/fan motor/ rear defrost stopped working. car starts and runs fine.

Year/make/model???? Changing the battery should not affect all of the above. Sounds like a power supply issue and possible ignition switch problem. Try starting the vehicle and gently moving the key/ignition switch back and forth slightly while using the window button and heater fan on. If these begin to operate while moving the key, suspect an ignition switch issue

The fan in my x5 bmw keeps running even when the car is off, any suggestions what or how to fix it ?

How would it be a blown fuse--- I ask?

If a fuse was blown-- how would the fan have
a complete circuit-- in order to run at all?

Have to diagnose the fan control circuit, to
find a problem

What would cause the electronics on my car to stop working as I was driving

The first place to check is for blown fuses, replace if blown. If the fuse blows again, there is a dead short in the electrical system. Although this does sound like you have a disconnected, loose or badly corroded ground some where, you can look at a lot of the grounding wires in engine compartment for the conditions stated, although some vehicles have grounds in a lot of other areas as well so the engine compartment is a start and most likely.

likely your problem is the blower motor resister which is usually close to the fan.

What could be making the radiator fans in my 2000 Alero stop working? We just replaced the old one yesterday and the fans worked great and then they stopped working again tonight. We checked the fuses...

the temperature sensor is next to thermostat housing disconnect the sensor and start the car if the fan works right away you have a faulty sensor also make sure there is good ground to the body and engine

Heater/defrost/ac does not blow in my 2006 tacoma. worked this morning, parked at work, came out half hour later and would not work.

what has most likely happened is that a fuse has blown that is in your blower fan circuit. Check your owners manual, and see if there is a fuse to that system, if there is, check and see if it is blown. If it isn't, then the problem could either be your blower fan itself, or your blower motor resistor. Generally, when the blower fan goes bad, no speeds of the fan work. When the Blower motor resistor goes bad, usually only 1 speed of the fan works. Try the first suggestion i gave, and it everything checks out in the fuse box, then try all of your fan speeds. If one works, you need a blower motor resistor, if none work, then it is most likely your fan. Let me know how it goes and i'll do my best to assist you further. good luck.

What could be the problem when the radator fan dont work i try all the fuse some are on some not but none of them is blown

OK, the radiator fan is controlled by a relay that can blow, or the 'fusible link' can be blown down near the starter. It looks like a wire but has a blowable link inside of the insulation. Harder to find than a fuse, but will stretch if blown.

Good luck on this repair.

I have a 2001 Ford F 250 power stroke and the A/C stopped working?? First the blower would only work on High then the blower stopped working all together. I can put the selector knob on A/C, high and when...

The blower is like a small exhaust fan and most likely the armature coils of the fan have shorted out, stopping the fan completely. You will have to replace the blower fan since repairing it wont be cost effective. A/c fuses are clearly marked so most probably the fuses you checked are the normal ones, cos the A/c fuses are bunched in one location(behind the dashboard of the Drivers side)...............sodeep

A/C for 2004 chevy suburban issue

Automatic climate control or manual ? blower motor control processor , probably . or the blower motor , or the HVAC control module etc.... All these are just guesses , without testing the electrical circuits . Did you check the BLOWER fuse 40amp located in the under hood fuse / relay box And the HVAC /ECAS fuse 10amp in the under hood fuse box ? Plus HVAC I fuse 10amp located in the I/P fuse box .
