If its not there, its not there. (op guide in glove box shows what you got)
USB is a common feature on new radio's TV, AVS REc. , Blue-ray payers.
its a ship and custom interface inside , nothing trivial at all.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I own a 2006 holden viva equip station wagon .I am trying to program stereo to reboot after losing battery power .Apparently I need a computer code number ???Can you help?

Hi Mark there isn't a lot any one can do. The only option you really have are; check through all the paper work you have on the car all cards and hand book, all repair sheets if Holden invoices sometimes radio codes are written in. Purchase invoice if bought from a dealer sometimes have the code recorded. If no luck there possibly on the back of the radio (radio removed). Again if not there write down or take a photo of all information on all labels on the radio including bar codes. Now the two options left go to the dealer with the infomation you have written down pay a fee and they will get the radio code or fit a new radio purchased elsewhere. A third option just thought of is a radio fitting specialist but to be honest i have not come accross one that can reprogram a radio code.Good luck

Could be a computer glitz ,try disconnecting the battery for an hour, make sure you know the radio code if it is fitted with one.

there is a cruise control kit made by a firm called commander that is about the most reliable unit on the market
It is vehicle specific and can be fitted by DIY or in service shops that fit radios and sound systems

How do you decode the radio when you replace it with one from a junk yard.do not have the customer code number.

Any radio will do. To make it as easy as possible, get one which is the same size (width and height), and has the same plug for connecting to your existing wiring harness. Most General Motors radios would fit any of the GM vehicles.

REPLACING RADIO

anything can be made to fit anything now and days. What you need to ask your self is do I want to make it fit. First I would go to Crutchfield and ask them if they have a adaptar plate and plug set up that will work on my radio to fit my car. They sell the best kits around and will send you the directions step by step to do what you want if its possible.
