You need to check the valve on the in lines to the heater in between the engine to the wall off under the window. there is to pipe follow them and you will probably find a vale these can seized up and stop working some models have a vacuum pipe on them that opened the valve when the heater is needed.

SOURCE: replaced cracked radiator in 2000 Chrysler LHS but car still overheating. What could be the problem?

I had the same problem. My Chrysler LHS kept overheating. I had the thermostat changed out first and it didn't help. Then I had the water pump changed out and still did no good. Then changed out the radiator, still overheated. Come to find out the people that changed my thermostat put it in backwards. Evidently, the thermostats for these cars look different from all the others and people are not sure how to put them in. I took mine to a Chrysler dealer and they fixed it for me.

Probably not water pump. Engine is notourious for vapour lock.
Cooling system must be blead of air before thermostat will work. Cool bottom rad hose is a dead give away. If you are still watching this forum reply , and I will walk you through the only way I know how to make it work properly. It's actually easy if you do it my way. I have worked on lots of cars , and this engine was the hardest to bleed out. Did one Yesterday , and works perfect.

Thermostat installed up side down, coolant mixture wrong, radiator plugged, water pump is worn out, heater blend door is stuck

I get very low heat i have flushed system completely new radiator, thermostat, radiator cap, still no heat whats left?

Check to make sure vents are not clogged, below window by wipers check that and vents from dash going down,If not plugged then probably your heater core or heater blower motor may be shot or weak, you need a Haynes manual to check these if you are not familiar with where these are located at.Haynes manuals can be bought at most auto parts stores

No heat replaced heater core thermostat

So the blend door opens? Does the fan motor blow? Are both heater hoses hot? That would indicate the coolant is circulating through the core.

2005 town and country heat does not work it only blows warm air i changed the thermostat and its still the same

No.
There are no heater control valves of years gone by. And if the water pump was not pumping the engine would run very hot.
If the radiator is full, and the thermostat is working, the heater hoses should be hot, and the problem could be a faulty blend door under the dash. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and the ac evaporator as well as the vents.

My heater doesn't seem to want to get hot. I have done a radiator flush with new antifreeze, changed the thermostat and it's still blowing out hot air.

If it's not blowing out hot air, the blend door may be the problem on the 1990 Isuzu Trooper.

Heater Water Control Valve REMOVAL & INSTALLATION On early models the heater control valve was part of the heater core inlet. To replace the control valve, remove the heater core as outlined in this section. Remove the control valve from the heater core, being careful not to damage the core. Use new gaskets when installing new valves. The remainder of the vehicles are not equipped with heater water control valves. They use heater unit doors to regulate the amount of heat entering the vehicle. --- I would check that both tubes running to the heater core are getting hot. If they are, then there is a blend door problem. If both tubes are not getting hot, the heater core is blocked somewhere or the heater control valve, if so equipped, is in need of replacement. Good luck on this repair. prev.gif next.gif

No heat on my 98 caddy deville delegance?

do the heater core coolant supply hoses both get hot at the firewall in the engine compartment? if yes then you have a defective temperature control blend door actuater motor.

I have a 2000 ford windstar no heat still

My 99 windstar did this too. It was the blend door that the actuator motor goes into was broke. When you pull the actuator out look into the hole and see if you see a d shape piece coming out of the box if it is not d shape it is broke check out this site great photos

Cool air blowing from heater, even when on high.

Make sure the thermostat is good, system is full, heater control valve is not bound up
