It seems that you have a leak in the brake lines . Refill reserve and have someone look underneath vehicle after brakes are pumped

Bad sensor in one wheel, they are part of the wheel bearing. Could also be a bad abs computer module, either way, not cheap.

SOURCE: ABS light is on. Spongy pedal. ABS pump makes

if the abs pump is making noise you either have an air pocket in it or a bad pump, so this is what you need to do have the car pluged in to a modis and have them run a bleeder program, this will make the pump bleed the air from the system, the problem with doing some of this maintanance at home is sometimes you need specialty tools to do the job right this requires a $8,000.00 computer to make sure the air is purged from the system. call a shop and ask them what they will charge to do this. my shop where i work would charge around $25.00 to run this with the modis...
good luck

My 2008 prius abs and brake light came on and the the brakes became very hard and constant beep noise, so how to fix it as its really irritating continuous noise beep.

The ABS system is in need of immediate service. The hard pedal is the ABS/Hydraulics malfunctioning and beeping to let you know. Could be a sensor or module maybe a wiring/connection issue but have it serviced ASAP . A bad vacuum supply to the booster or booster diaphragm can also cause a hard pedal and any could light the warning light.

Brake fluid light on 2001 Pontiac aztek is on, bell is chiming. Fluid is full. How do we get the light and chiming to stop?

You have a brake pressure problem, which is potentially dangerous. Your master cylinder may be going bad , leaking internally, and is not supplying the correct pressure to the calipers , or the distribution valve may be bad and the braking pressure is not even on each wheel ... Abs system could also be at fault.. The chiming is a warning of impending danger. Get this fixed as soon as possible before you have an accident.

What does it mean when yourbrake light and asb light remain on when you drive.

Hi Graeme, When the ABS and the brake warning light both stay on it means you have two fauls with the braking system. Before you start the car open the hood and check the brake fluid level. I believe it will need topping up. If not check to see if the parking brake is releasing correctly When you have done that, and made sure you have effective brakes, take the vehicle to a technician and have that person inspect both systems. Find out if there is leakage of brake fluid and if there sort that problem first. The ABS can be sorted out second and then reactivated. Regards John

Oily puddle near the tailpipe, what is it?

abs light or brake light? If it's the brake light, sounds like you're loosing brake fluid someplace in the rear. Needs to be looked at fast. Espically if the brake pedal feels softer then normal or travels farther then what it used to. If ABS, can't help you unless i'm able to look at it closer. Could be as simple as a nicked wire up front or need whole new wheel bearing hubs. And if it's the abs light, i don't have an idea for the fluid in rear.
