Why will the power windows on my 1998 Toyota corolla not go up or down? At first the drivers side lock wouldn't let me out on the divers side but the window did work. Now I can put the window on the drivers side down (but not the rest) and have to release the door lock from the outside and open the door from the outside.

This sounds like the master switch on the driver's side door is the problem.

SOURCE: power door locks not working on 1998 honda accord lx

I promise this works 'cause I used it:

Put the key in the ignition, move the intermittent wiper control to the middle possition and then turn the key on.

just to clarify it's the ring that controlls the intermittent wiper speed and not the int / low/ high switch.

What this does is it resets the multiplex unit that controlls the accessories such as the power door locks. This problem usually happens once the battery has been removed or disconnected and reconnected. Every once in a while the multiplex systems lock up. Especially on the 98s. That's how you wake em up.

How do you reset circuit breaker for power windows on 98 toyota corolla

If the circuit has a circuit breaker, it resets by itself when it cools off.
You might need to replace it, or test the circuit for power.

Hello. The power windows each need a new window motor assembly which includes a new track system. The advantage to the assembly is that it is very difficult to remove the motor and install a new one. the power door locks on the passenger side the most likely cause is the power door lock actuator, about a ten dollar part.

My toyota corolla 94 window driver side can not scroll up&down

Perhaps a faulty window-motor, or the window switch.
Make sure your battery is good. Usually the problem is the window-switch.

1998 toyota corolla rear door lock actuator not working. How do I remove old one? Can it be replaced by so-called ''universal' lock actuator? Thanks

You can replace with any of "universal" actuator.
Its just a small motor inside power door lock, that works up and down according to the electricity that come into it. Good luck !

Only the drivers side window works

not sure on this make but many vehicles have a lock out switch (safety feature) that deactivate all power windows except for the driver window. Usually on the driver door or close by

Power Windows stop, and then move a little after waiting about 60

Sounds like it could be your switch going out. Does the rear switch give you the same problem? If not, then I would suggest you go to a junk yard and find one to replace the front one, even then they range in price from $35-60. A new one from the dealer is best but more costly. Good luck hope it helps.
