Purple most RWD sometimes (Yellow most FWD) - Starter .. Did I miss any? It's been a while The thin wires on the IGN swich are for key sense and VATS (if applicable)

ignition switch may be worn or a loose exciter wire [to starter] thats the small terminal on starter motor you can bridge it to the posative [power] on the starter it should start!
if it does start just work back from there to ignition look for broken or loosse connection
if that all is ok it will need ignition switch

SOURCE: what else do i need
There isn't much to a tuneup now days, I wouldn't even bother with plugs and wires unless it needed it. The basic tune up is an oil change, air filter, check all fluids, brake pads, hoses, any thing that needs attention. I don't think I have changed plugs in 10 years, or wires for that matter. And I am driving a 94. Hope this helps.
