Follow the glow plug wires to a common box where all the glow plug wires congregate. This should be the timer.

Testimonial: "the wires from the glow plugs leads to the glow plug relay..the relay is switched on by the timer for a set period of time say 10secs then switched off.the relay is fine... no power supply from timer to the relay when key is turned on...hence no glow action"

still can't find where the timer ecu is hidden.apart from pulling radiator out & tracing wiring thru back of heater unit, under dash...big job.

Autozone website has a wiring diagram in the free section of the Help section at the bottom of the page. I would imagine the glowplug relay must be fused and you need to check the fuse block for the power feed.

You can not leave the thermostat out. It can in some cars run cold or others the antifreeze will become heat saturated. Both are real bad. Replace the thermostat. You need to check Everything, one by one. The radiator (for clogs), hoses (for damage, pinched), Defective clutch on fan, and water-pump (its new but is the belt slipping), If everything checks out then you may have a clog inside the engine or heads, itself.

Check for fuses first. The Glowplug timer is the proper name for the part that responds to Temperature when starting your engine. When the engine is cold, of course it is on longer and can cycle making a click and intermittently dimming the lights on your truck. When the engine is warm, your gowplugs may not even fire as the engine is using compression alone to fire up.

Also, Ford did make a Severe Weather model that kept the glowplugs on longer. If you stay in Alaska or a climate with consistent subzero temperatures you may need it.

"I have a Mazda Bongo Brawny RF6C Diesel Engine with DPF, it showed an Engine Light, and I changed oil, oil filter, diesel Filter. I started it it picked but the engine light did not go...and I tried

you are going to have to plug in a diagnostic reader and find out what the problem is or to shut off the light . You could also drive it for 300KM and it should reset itself

Diesel needs to be manually pumped through - how?

try primming the fuel filter with diesel fuel and starting it if it does not start do it again and again till it starts. heres a tip, after you prime the filter a few time an try to start it spray a small amount of starting fluid in to the carb(not alot just a small amount, one quick shot).Remember this is a diesel so dont keep spraying starting fluid in,you can either lock the engine or mushroom the glow plugs.
