Question about 1996 Ford Taurus
None of my windows will go up or down, none of the switches work. All the fuses are ok, when the drivers side stopped working the power locks stopped engaging. could use some help...please...don't want to go to the dealer.
There is a switch on some cars to lock out the windows to keep your kids from getting caught in them. This switch is a different shape than the others and is on the door or center console.
If you have a keyless entry system with numbers to push to unlock your car, sometimes the door switch forgets the numbers and needs to be reset. If you have a fancier car, the locks may have automatically locked as the car moved and once the door switch forgot the code it may have interferred with normal operation.
