SOURCE: where is the thermastat on

If you look down at the engine and notice the larger black hose coming from the top of the radiator to the engine block. Where this hose connects to the engine is called the thermostat housing. If you take the hose off, and unbolt this housing, the thermostat is underneath and easy to swap out.

How to remove egr valve on a 1993 toyota previa

That previa has a central engine, so all engine work requires you take out driver and or front passenger seat out.

The EGR placement is here >> http://www.autozone.com/autozone/repairguides/Toyota-Previa-1991-1997-Repair-Information/EMISSION-CONTROLS/Exhaust-Gas-Recirculation-System/_/P-0900c1528008a1d5

Good luck

95 previa SC tranny slipping after flush?

Previa ECMs CANNOT be 'reflashed". Whoever told you that the SC is programmed to 'choke' is lying to you; there is no such thing. That is the same with the slip, the engine cannot cause the trans to slip. Get another opinion from a credible mechanic. The one you have has no clue.

1997 Toyota Previa

When you say "warning light is on", I assume you are not talking about the oil pressure gauge...
If not, here is your solution:
What you have is a very common problem: The oil LEVEL sensor has failed. Previas have 2 sensors; pressure & level of the oil in the pan...What you need to do is replace it, Toyota part number : 89491-28030.
BUT...This part is $380.45. Not cheap; Sorry but true.
